Hey guys,

OCD sufferer here, taking Luvox 250mg. Just want to know if I can take any preworkout that is stronger than the "light ones" with Creatine, Citrulline, Beta Alanine, Caffeine and so on. For example, this one: https://www.supp-sho...rfahrung/review

Are there any substances who could worsen the OCD or interfere with my medication? And if so, can you guys suggest any booster that wouldn't interfere / make my OCD worse?

Thanks in regard,

Sascha from Germany

There are lots of different pre-workouts out there with different ingredients. A lot of them, like the one you linked, have DMHA or DMAA which is very strong. In a sense it’s like an and feta mean but focuses more on norepinephrine then dopamine. You can get really jittery and increased anxiety if the dosage is too high.

They go by many different names:

DMAA= Methylhexanamine ( Forthane, Geranamine) or methylhexamine, commonly known as 1,3-dimethylamylamine (1,3-DMAA), 1,3-amphetamine or simply dimethylamylamine (DMAA),

DMHA=Dimethylhexylamine, Octodrine,Juglans Regia (walnut bark), Aconitum Kusnezoffii, Kigelia Africana
2-aminoisoheptane, Ambredin, Vaporpac

The K. Africana extract is a form of DMHA and is strong

The Erica Jenisis is more mild but there is good info here

I would say if you want to start using something that has DMHA use 50-75mg at first. 200mg like what’s in Kracken is too much. Everyone is different though. For example I don’t respond well to DMHA. It gets me jittery and gives me anxiety yet it’s bigger brother DMAA which is much stronger, I can handle that no problem. My wife who is only 5’ 115lbs can take a ton of DMHA with no problems at all yet several people cannot handle it.

Whatever you do, avoid any pre-workouts that contain Zembrine/Kannase. It almost acts as an SSRI to counterbalance all the stimulants they add but I did not react well to it at all and I take 10 mg Lexapro.

If you want to try pre-work out with DMHA I suggest something like NPN’s Storm Surge as it contains 80mg DMHA

https://naturalpheno...ct/storm-surge/

If you want to try DMAA try Centurion Labz GOD OF RAGE but it Hass to be the original version as the updated version removed the DMAA.

Only take 1/4scoop The first few times then try 1/2 scoop. One full serving contains 60 mg DMAA(1 3 dimethylamylamine) which is too much. They put on the label you can take up to two scoops which is just insane. If you live in the US I have some of it and I could send you a few servings on the house if you want just message me.
