I have tested this numerous times, like 10 times, start and stop, always the same feeling of frustration, desperation, dissatisfaction, within 30 mins or so.

There is the joint pain as well, anyone got an idea whats going on?

99% purity.

It takes well over 30 minutes of ingestion for resveratrol to enter the blood stream, so the psychological symptoms are likely due to something else. As for joint pain, that has been reported by some users, with high doses. How much are you taking?

It takes less if you dissolve it into your mouth, and swallow it, i take powder not caps. Even then, if not 30 - 1h max lets say.

It used to destroy my joints in big dosage, but now i think that my shoulder would literally fall aparat, i can't move my hand up, literally pain goes instantly.

Even with 100-200mg this happens, its so frustrating since i got high quality powder....and resveratrol is one of the msot potent mitochondrial boosters.

Would taking Trans-Pterostilbene give similar/same benefits without this side effect?

Disolving in mouth not likely to speed absorption, the oral mucosa are not that extensive nor permeable to non-polar molecules without some sort of carrier, perhaps.  Stomach absorbs water or alcohol, naught else.  Nothing absorbed until intestines.

Pterostilbene is similar to resveratrol.  Short of trying it, can't tell if it would induce these symptoms.  You might try fisetin, its different enough with similar benefits. Perhaps more, as a senolytic.

I used to get depression from taking it, however I found it was maltodextrin added that caused my mood change. Now I buy 100% pure & organic and have had no issues.

Resveratrol is an extremely potent anti-fungal. I believe some of the symptoms people get when starting it are due to this effect.

Fungicidal effect of resveratrol on human infectious fungi.

Jung HJ1, Hwang IA, Sung WS, Kang H, Kang BS, Seu YB, Lee DG.
Author information
Abstract
Resveratrol, a phenolic antioxidant found in grapes, has been known to mediate various biological activities on the human body. In the present study, we tested the antifungal activity of resveratrol against human pathogenic fungi before carrying out further studies to elucidate the antifungal mechanism(s) of resveratrol. Resveratrol displayed potent antifungal activity against human pathogenic fungi at concentration levels of 10-20 microg/mL. Furthermore, time-kill curve exhibited fungicidal effect of resveratrol on C. albicans, but the compound had no hemolytic activity against human erythrocytes. The destruction of C. albicans cells by resveratrol was confirmed by scanning electron microscopy. These results suggest that resveratrol could be employed as a therapeutic agent to treat fungal infections of humans.

Interesting, but i have used enteric coated capsules, filled with clove, oregano, cinnamon and so on, they where EO's super powerful, and i felt great, so i don't think that's the case regarding me.

Anyone can help about the Fisetin?

As I mentioned in another thread, a prominent herbalist recommends taking the Knotweed root instead of the processed Trans-Resveratrol that comes from it.    You will get half as much Trans per gram (approx) but will also get the suggested benefits of the complete plant compound, which he maintains will have needed molecules to balance out side effects.

I get no side effects from pure Trans-R and am not convinced that one or the other is superior.  Just sharing knowledge of an alternative form.   It you buy the cheaper brands that say offer 600 mg capsules with 300 mg of Trans, then you are likely getting the powdered root.   Or just buy the root powder and mix it in yogurt as per Sinclair.

I've found that the purity of resveratrol doesn't matter. For me, any purity will cause joint pain. 50% knotweed extract or synthetic at 99% purity, doesn't matter. However, 50 mg of spermidine greatly reduced the problem. Spermine may be even better--

Still, resveratrol is something I take occasionally in a senolytic protocol, and certainly not every day.

try dissolving in alcohol / vodka and swish around mouth, or dissolve in chocolate. I do this, and need much less dosage, and works well for me, especially as a brain stimulant

What quantitative method are you utilizing to determine that you need a much lesser dosage doing it that way?

I get an instant speedy brain effect after a mouthwash with vodka but not with capsules. I just know when resveratrol works, it gives me lots of energy and brain stimulation, been doing this over 10 years so I feel it, I also dissolve Res in chocolate
