but things that prevent a viral infection from taking hold in the first place might be the complete opposite of what might alleviate symptoms or make it easier to survive through late stages of the viral disease
and early stages and late stages might be very different too. in the early stages it might be a good thing to have your immune system go crazy, but then it might start killing you. I'm talking in general, not specifically about covid19
so I would think resveratrol would be looked at mostly to try and figure out something stronger and more specific and more practical rather than loading up syringes of Resveratrol into someone who could hardly breathe
if I have anything unique to contribute it's that Selank does seem to immediately alleviate cold symptoms after administration, maybe it's just me tho, and this article is rather weirdly translated but it does seem to increase IL-6
