Could we have some sort of index of all the covid19 threads in Longecity? Right now they are spread all over the various subforums, spreading the knowledge and the information too widely, and we may miss lots of information on threads we didn't even know about because they were hidden elsewhere.

I would use the search function, to have an always up to date index: https://cse.google.c...vid corona&ref=

yes, but the search function returns multiple times the same thread sometimes, in a rather messy way, because the keywords appear multiple times on various posts. I'd rather have a simple, clean index of all Covid releated threads, regularly updated by mods every time a new covid related thread is created in a new subforum.

We only have 1 moderator here. Since he already has multiple responsibilties to just keep the forum running, why not volunteer yourself? - if you really think an index so important. I really don't.

If others express an interest in it, I would do it, yeah. But it will not be a real index, since regular users can't edit their post after a certain limit of time. So I would have to create a new post everytime there is a change.

You may ask Mind for giving you moderation powers over the index thread.

I was thinking about creating a subforum.

Otherwise, fyi, the current LongeCity rule is that you can only moderate threads if you are a member.

Using tags would be good enough. But, it would help to have several main tags on each of the threads. Like, this thread doesn't have COVID-19 as a tag, and this one doesn't have Coronavirus as a tag. And, we can't add the tags because they are full.

A dedicated subforum is a good alternative.

- remember that LongeCity members can edit the tags of any thread.

- if you want a subforum, it would have to be placed under 'risks and survival' which is our established place for global risks

- if someone wanted to step up as a sub-forum curator we'd be happy to look into that

- meanwhile please refer to these guidelines

Until they are full. The threads I linked to above say:

You have reached the maximum number of tags for this topic. To add more tags, one or more existing tags should be deleted.

And it doesn't look like we can delete tags.

Also tagged with one or more of these keywords: longecity, coronavirus, search, index, covid19, covid-19
