European Suppliers / Online Supplement Sto...

Hi, great idea for a thread, thanks for starting it. I also have a request. For some reason AOR Europe do not supply Orthomind. Does anyone know of a good quality alternative product available in Europe. The price of AOR supplements means I am worried that I will be charged customs duty if I order them from America into the UK.
I order stuff from the US to UK all the time, if the order is small (ie less than £25 and 30 Euros) and you just use USPS as opposed to DHL etc then usually they get through customs ok. You have a limit for the net worth of supplements you can import be for being liable for local custom charges. With DHL and other independent carriers they always send you a bill so they are best avoided if you don't want to be stung.
Although I do use UK suppliers it is much cheaper to take the cost of multiple shipping from US rather than buy domestically... and now a lot slower either.
In the UK:
MyProtein - some good/cheap products (eg 50% cissus for £19.00, find better) but can be slow/unpredictable on delivery(last time 4 days Domestically which is fine), seem to have sorted their extreme issues they had at the beginning of the year.
http://www.planta.co.uk/ - Excellent customer service, delivery and comms - fairly competitive pricing for (in my case) fish oil, vits and herbs.
http://www.cheapuksu.../shop/index.php - good for occasional "buy 1 get 1 free" etc on sports supplements, proteins, energy drinks and good delivery options/pricing etc.
I get my pharmaceuticals from india and have a good supplier but I don't want them busted so that's not going in here!
No affiliations, relationships with supplement companies BTW.

I haven't used them for quite a while but they have always been good on delivery and were pretty competitive on price. It appears they don't give you "loyalty points" anymore which is a shame but that aside, a good company in my experience with a professional website.
BTW my iherb order just arrived; 11 days from delivery ($3.99) via USPS,no customs bill or interference. Net order value $27.00 keeping it under the radar. To give a balanced view I got greedy 5 weeks ago and ordered over $50.00 of stuff from them. Took 3 weeks to arrive as Customs sat on it while they plucked a figure out of the air to charge me. That figure was £13.50 (c$25.00) effectively adding 50% to the cost of that order.
Bastards.

What if mail has come from abroad?
You might have to pay Customs duties for mail coming from abroad. The cost will depend on the type of mail being sent to you and its value - for example, you may be charged VAT if you're being sent merchandise (business to consumer) worth more than £18 or £36 for gifts (consumer to consumer). There are other limits and charges for tobacco and alcohol. There's also a handling fee of £8.00 per item, which is a contribution towards our costs in carrying out activity on behalf of Her Majesty's Customs & Excise. However, if there's no Customs charge then we won't charge you anything at all.
Royal Mail (and HM Customs) charges seem to have increased significantly over the past year or so and now with the pound in decline against the dollar it makes sense to find some good "local" suppliers.

Hi,
as a lot of special supplements are more available in USA than Europe, and I would like to have this thread for helping us European members finding supplement resources within Europe.
I am starting my first request for help; does anyone know where to find quality hexaphosphate (IP-6) from an European supplier? Google is not on my side on hexaphosphate.
Regards
hey aikikai, check it > http://www.myprotein...h-and-wellness/
scroll down and voila! just found it myself last week.
but yea, great thread, since there are so many goodies in the staates that are so hard to find over here. don't ask how many times the customs here in germany have send my stuff back, cuz it's too highly dosed for german standards. my ass! the little stuff they sell over here is ultra-low-dosed and ridiculoulsy high priced, so i guess it makes sense for german economics not too accept us-supplies. not like they make enough in taxes anyway!
only seems to happen with us-based supplies though. so yes, i'm all eyes....
Thank you for the link.
Some suppliers I have found and ordered from;
http://www.vitaminshome.com/
Good but I have always had long delivery time
http://www.justgoodhealth.com/
Basic stuff, free shipping and fast delivery
I have found another site selling special supplements;
http://www.super-smart.eu/
Does anyone have any experience with Super-Smart?
The reason I prefer to buy within EU is that there is not custom issues. The customs doesn't have any rights to control any mails, parcels etc within the EU. I have had several issues ordering from outside EU, which I therefore would like to have a good information source here in this thread with EU/European-suppliers.

Yes, I placed an order with them a couple of months ago. Delivery was a tad on the slow side
(it took more than 4 weeks iirc), but otherwise quality and service were excellent.

ordered multiple times from supersmart, they do have quite a variety and good quality, but a little on the costly side if you ask me. and delivery can take some time too.
here are some more:
http://www.jmnutrition.co.uk/ (got a good choice of NOW-Vitamins and some other goodies, pretty cheap also)
https://www.aoreurope.co.uk/ (well, the obvious, but fast shipping i must say)
http://www.newfoodinc.com/ (most of LEF's catalog in here, with german prices, ha)

Hi,
are these companies trusted ones and what is the qualtiy of their supplements, anyone who knows?
I trust them to a certain extent. As you could easily deduct from their sites they are primarily aimed at selling bulk protein, amino acids, etc. to bodybuilding type customers, I'm pretty sure their most popular product would be unflavoured whey. I don't think they are in the business of scamming anyone but they cut costs on packaging, advertising, etc. so they can sell undecorated bulk supplies at a profit. I wouldn't expect to find the highest quality of obscure supplements from them, but they do basic things well in a cost efficient manner. If you want the absolute best of something then expect to pay a premium for that extra quality somewhere else, but if cost-to-benefit is a factor than I rate these guys pretty highly.
MyProtein post certificates of analysis for many of their products including their cissus if that means anything. I have never had an issue with any of the companies or the quality of their products and I have ordered from them numerous times (other than the increased delivery charge to Northern Ireland compared to the rest of the UK which is more the fault of the courier companies than the supplement companies). IMHO they do what they say on the tin.

Unfortunately they have a horrific retarded ordering scheme. Anyone still use a printer and snailmail? I sure don't.how could i forget, here's another very good one > http://www.qhi.co.uk/ (got lotsa nootropics and general anti-aging gadgets, good shipping)
I'm mainly on the lookout for people that can supply me with higher doses of melatonin, as LEF are selling here. They won't ship this formula to The Netherlands because of some silly regulation. We can only buy 0,2 mg melatonin pills over here. (Idiots here in the Dutch FDA, obviously!)
Also, most melatonin pills contain garbage like lactose. I prefer the ones that do not.
Anyone know of a way to get Melatonin into this nation?

Try to get it from a store in USA in a combined order with other 'inoffensive' things. A small package containing supplments should pass the customs.

I have ordered some stuff from bulkpowders.com yesterday. I selected the bank trasfer payment option.
Then I realized that if they accept transfers as € or not.
Otherwise I have to pay 17,5 € for £ transfer. (By the way I'm writing you from Germany.)
They haven't responded to my e-mails.
So is there anyone who knows the answer, experienced the same thing?
Thanks.

I have been trying to soure many different supplements recently and have got tired of trying so would very much appreciate any advice; firstly, I would like to find some copper (as copper sebacate ) and seperately, selenium (as selenomethionine), proline and Co-Q10. The latter two can be sold as bulk powder 100g-500g+. The former either as small amount loose powder or in caps/tabs without any other fillers/additives very preferably from a UK/Europe supplier.
Please help,
Thanks and all the best,

sale at the beginning of the year. I've just ordered
some from them - red vine, milk thistle, artichoke,
starflower oil and the 50 plus multi (basic, but cost-
effective).
http://www.healthspan.co.uk
Most of their supplements are basic and ordinary ones,
but a few, like red vine extract, can't be found in most
health food stores.
Red vine was developed in Switzerland. The patented
product, Antistax, is identical, but just half (180 mg) that
of the Healthspan strength and thus costs more.
http://www.antistax.com/
Products at half price now include OptiFive and Lipo-Carn.

The sale is ending in a few days. They have a flat 4 pounds
sterling shipping fee worldwide.

Healthspan is located in Guernsey, which is not part of the UK or the EU. So your package might be subjected to taxes and fees.
Ah, then it is not so good for me...
I think it is still cost-effective given the good discounts,
even after accounting for whatever customs duties you
have over there.
I'm taking even a bigger risk over here in Malaysia when
I order from overseas. The stupid law here says that you
can't buy supplements which are not registered. So the
customs and local drug control department have the right
to confiscate any at the airport if they wish, though most
times they will let two or three bottles go if it is for
personal consumption.
Otherwise, you may be interested in Nature's Best in Tunbridge
Wells. Many of the same supplements costs more than Healthspan,
but that is offsett by taking deducting VAT (the prices include VAT)
if you are not in the UK, and adding back a flat 25 % of the cost for
shipping, giving a net markup of about 4 % only, depending on the
VAT rate there now.
http://www.naturesbest.co.uk/
Their glucosamine products are really good prices, one of the
lowest around. Lower even than Healthspan, I think.
This woman in my office orders the glucosamine/chondrotin
regularly from them, after I had informed her. I must have
saved her thousands over the years. Even the cheapest
local ones here costs 50 cents each (14 cents US) and that's
just for 250 mg tabs, and glucosamine only. Chondroitin sulfate,
locally made ones, costs about M$1 (28 cents US) per 400 mg
capsule.
The first "patented" glucosamine brand in the country,
"Viatril-S" by Rotta of Italy, was last selling for M$1.20
(35 cents US) for a 250 mg capsule.
I've ordered a few times from them.
