i had similar worries when i started. some research suggests metformin can slightly blunt hypertrophy and strength adaptations since it activates AMPK and dampens mTOR signaling a bit, but the human studies are mixed and mostly in older or sedentary people. been on a low dose myself and my lifts kept creeping up, so i wouldnt panic. if youre concerned you could time the dose away from training and just track your numbers over a few months.
