One of my favorite scenes from my favorite movie of all time (Pulp Fiction), but all in text:

My favourite movie of all time, Fight Club, as a music video to the Song "This is Your Life" written for/from the movie.

I believe on a deeply deeply philosophical level everything said in this song (and therefore the movie). The concepts in this movie, which are summarised perfectly in this video clip, are a grounding for my life.

"You have to give up. You have to realise that some day you will die. Until you realise that, you are useless."

And a poignant scene from Fight Club, although I really wanted the scene where they are in the car and they "Just let go".

Evidently this is a video of a real prison in the Philippines where the warden of the prison organizes dances and things to keep the prisoners occupied while they are there. This week's dance? "Thriller" Only a practice, evidently, and not even the final version. This is pretty awesome, I don't care who you are:

Dang Nate, that was pretty incredible... I am really surprised they got them to cooperate like that.

It was pretty much exactly like the real Thriller as well. Pretty neat.

If you do a search on YouTube or somewhere, you find lots of people that recreate the dance. (admittedly not as well as the above people) Like these clowns, or this band, among others.

Here is the Intro to Star Trek: Enterprise set to Russell Watson's rendition of "Faith of the Heart". I find this to be a very inspirational video and also, I think this video should serve as an example for the kind of Trailers we should attempt to make for future Transhumanist Events such as the next Singularity Summit or even the next Imminst Conference.

I thoroughly enjoyed all 10 of their episodes. It's probably more enjoyable if you have some familiarity with Michael Cera and an interest in the movie industry.

Nice one. Have you seen David Bolinsky's TED talk yet Zoolander?
http://www.ted.com/i...lks/view/id/147

If you just want to see some of his animations, skip to the last 3 minutes (there is a pop up section skipper if you mouse over the video).

Bolinsky's work is outstanding. I hope it sparks a new generation of visualization tools for biology.

That prison clip is a classic too.

Take a look at the choreography of this.

Simply amazing.

(For anyone that doesn't know, PostSecret is a blog where people can send in postcards confessing their secret, without putting their name on it, and they have 3 or 4 books out as well.)

The books are good. Every Sunday they post 20 to their website. (although not this week for some reason) Unfortunately they don't archive so you can't go back and look at them.

However, if you do a search, you can come across lots of videos of them, images, etc. If you do a search on Google images you run across a lot, and there are a lot of videos like this one that you can find with lots in there. Some are pretty disturbing, some are funny, some are pretty sad.

I don't consider myself squeemish, and my stomach is turning. Easily the most intense video I have seen. Not recommended for anyone who doesn't want to feel a little bit ill for the next 15 min.
