I have been seeing a urologist and have taken medication for a bit of hypogonadism. This time, however, I was doing my physical with my doctor, and after a long list of blood tests, he thinks my IGF-1--119ng/mL (reference range of 90-278) is "some of the lowest [he has] ever seen" on generally healthy males. He wonders if my HGH is a bit low and would want to give me ipamorelin.

Now, I'm neither a bodybuilder nor doing any competitive sports; and my main goal is to maintain metabolic and brain health due to family history. This is why I'm a bit leery about increasing my HGH, especially since the low IGF-1 might be (according to some threads here) caused by low-carb and/or time-restricted feeding (I've been doing 16/8 for a few years).

However, do you think my concerns are genuine, or misplaced?

Thanks for your answer in advance!

Doctors prescribe Ipamorelin? Isn't Ipamorelin a research chemical?
