Recent diagnosed with CKD.  Out of caution, I have stopped taking rara (10mg plus Grapefruit juice) every other week.  Does anyone know if rapamycin is contra indicated for a person with CKD (state 3.1)  Grf 58.

Check this out with regard to kidney function/rapamycin:

By the way, don't ever let doctors tell you you can't raise your GFR.  I have been low 50s and have gotten it into 80s/90s (my last eGFR was 78 or so a few months back)....I've also seen others increase it substantially from there.  You can do it.

i'm more of a glp-1 guy so take my take with a grain of salt, but rapamycin actually has a decent track record kidney-wise since it's been used in transplant patients for years. if your gfr is already hovering in the 50s i'd just start low, stay on top of hydration, and skip NSAIDs since those hammer kidneys way harder than anything in the longevity stack
