I  case you missed it: Reason posted an item in the News section about Coumarin as the geroprotective substance in for instance cinnamon:

I am now taking up cinnamon in my daily routine, but moderation is key here. Coumarin is a powerful bloodthinner and Wikipedia mentions esp. the Cassia variety of cinnamon as high in coumarin. Some countries restrict the amount of cinnamon that is used in bakeware.

 

I am interested to learn the experiences of those who have been taking cinnamon capsules regularly for blood glucose regulation.

I eat a lot of cinnamon. I don't take any capsules or cinnamon supplements. At the dosages I eat, I am not worried about "thin" blood. I would rather have blood that is slightly on the thin side anyway.
