Does Methylene Blue Impact Lifespan?

That's great that the ITP tested this. With no impact on medium lifespan in both male/female mice, and just a minor increase in maximal lifespan for female mice, the results seem rather unimpressive to me. Especially given that these sorts of interventions usually work better in mice than humans.

Yep, I agree 100%

However, I can testify that MB works for me as well as for my wife as a nootropic.

it kills libido and probably microflora too but it can be handy recreationally against bad mood when you are on the verge of sacrificing libido for the sake of some pleasant euphory.
Has anybody else had these effects? I've briefly taken methylene blue in the past (maybe for about three months) many many years ago, and I did not feel that it lowered my libido. That was when I was much younger and a very very horny individual.

Haha. no! We don't have low libido. The opposite effect, if any.
It might be a matter of dosage. At larger doses MB acts as an antibioticum so that might influence well being in general and therefore libido.
