Hi, I’ve been taking memantine for about three months (prescribed off-label for generalized anxiety). I titrated up by 5 mg each week and have been at 20 mg for the past two months.
So far, I haven’t noticed much improvement in anxiety, motivation, or intrusive negative thoughts. On the positive side, I haven’t had any significant side effects.
I’m curious if anyone here has tried memantine specifically for generalized/social anxiety, intrusive thoughts, or OCD. If so, did you find it helpful?
