Unfortunately I haven't got a headset so I won't be there. I will do my best to get a headset with mic over the next week or so. Any recommendations?
EDIT: I might just pop in and listen. I will be in the lab at around that time. Nate can you have yahoo messenger open at the same time. That way, if I want to say something I can use you as my mouth piece.
Anyhow, hopefully all goes well.
If you have it open anyway you can just text me in Skype. (there is a text and chat feature)
Lots of people come to these things and just listen through their speakers. I don't know how well attended this will be, but in ones I have been in before, usually the bulk of people in the room (over 50%) never say a word.No headset, on gf's sisters laptop. I hope all goes well tonight. Keep it civilized!

I was also going to run down a few of the upcoming conferences and things related to immortality, and perhaps mention some immortality-related news. I would kind of like to have just a few people talking at once, and only bring people up into the talking area a few at a time as they request to talk, almost like a call in line. If I could record it and turn it into like a monthly podcast or something, it would be kind of nice I think. (I'd have to get somewhere to host them on a regular basis, though)
Since this is a public chat, we may get some naysayers and people asking things like "why would you ever want to live forever?", and "what about overpopulation?", and things like that, which I can only see as a good thing, especially if we have people there that can answer those kinds of questions.

I will post the direct link to the page here when I create it, but the original link I had to cancel because it was scheduled for the wrong time and not allowing me to reschedule it.
Shouldn't be a problem, just giving a heads up about it.

I liked how it didn't get out of control (even though we only had about 15 different people), but aside from that Tony guy... I think it went well, and we had long period of good discussions. So, I'm going to go buy a better headset to participate more in the next chat.
So, over all: I say it was a good success and we need to do this more often.

I liked the feel of the v-chat overall. I plan to conduct a structured V-chat next week.
The v-chat will be discuss Exercise/Physical activity and Aging.
I will start a seperate post with the details.

If we could get above about 15 or 20 people, we would move into the top page of Skypecasts. Most of the popular Skypecasts are the ones that run on a regular basis. (on dating or computer problems or whatever else) So, if we could get to the point of doing them regularly, we might attract a loyal following.
Perhaps next time we can put a post in the supplements forum or something.

I uploaded to two different places, hopefully at least one works:
http://www.sharebigf...pecast-mp3.html
(type in the code, click submit, and wait 30 seconds or whatever for "Download file Now" to appear)
http://www.filefacto...om/file/f74617/
(click "Download for free with FileFactory Basic" in the middle)
Edit: It is also now live on Google videos if you just want to listen to it online with the first 12 minutes or so edited out (skip to 5 minutes in to get to the clearer part):
http://video.google....622204329785858
If these don't work, I can email it to you directly.
It lasts a little over 2 hours in total, but the first 17 minutes or so are kind of boring and/or scratchy (joseph's mic was kind of poor quality). After that it gets better.
This file should stand as a living testament to the patience of Justin. (when talking with the crazy guy who was fixated on "energy" for some reason)
