For the megas 99% stuff... the folks who ordered X500 using our special offer recently... already have a lower price so they don't need to change a thing... but for new customers we may have to change stuff around to meet the pricing...
Whew! I'm sure we will start doing some price tweaking this weekend.
Again... kudos to mega, came out of nowhere and blindsided everyone... nice!

You may have discussed this somewhere in this thread, but if so, I couldn't find it.
In the Web version of your price list, about half the products are noted as having 0 grams of trans-resveratrol.
Is that just because the manufacturers don't list t-res on the label, or do they actually not have any? How can you tell how much t-res these products do include?

We have also been contacted recently by what appears to be an american company interested in growing knotweed and producing rsv here at home. We think there is a definite need for this to happen, and we hope this company succeeds in it's efforts.

I am actually surprised this hasn't happened already. Knotweed is...just that. A weed. And it grows like wildfire, if I am not mistaken and is already in the U.S. In fact, I think some states are trying to get rid of it, it is such a general nuisance to the environment. I'd imagine it'd be easy as pie to grow the stuff--harvesting resveratrol from it might be trickier, but I don't know much about the process.
It is illegal to plant it in most states. Noxious invasive weed, or some such. I hear the State of Georgia will pay you to remove it from roadsides in the state. Heavy metal contaminants are a problem with extracts from such sources.

they have not quoted their trans-res or emodin content but at usd$300/kg seems pretty cheap

About the price list field "Trans-Resveratrol" :
When the manufacturers don't list "Trans" on the label or the COA (when the COA is available), it is listed on the price sheet as zero "0".
This is because the FDA label rules are pretty clear regarding contents on the labels, basically anyone not having this designation "trans-resveratrol" amount on the label is assumed not to have it at all in their product, as the FDA would not consider it as well in any investigation. If the FDA wouldn't consider it in a product, we won't either.
If you do find a label has changed that now states this... please let me know, I will update the sheet without a problem.
thanks

I don't know, I checked the website and they don't have a PDF link describing it.
http://federalabs.com/resveratrol.htm
and their price list doesn't give us a hint either...
http://federalabs.com/1kilopricing.htm
I'll add them to the list sometime today.

As to trans-resveratrol prices I would like to point out that our Transmax pure trans-resveratrol product comes with a free bottle of Bioforte with each two of Transmax. This brings the price of the kit down from that of $200.00 if one were to purchase the products separately, to $150. for all three bottles purchased as the kit. Consequently our price per mg of Trans-resveratrol is actually only $0.12. even less for total resveratrol content. This is apart from the quality issues I have enumerated in an earlier post which I believe make comparisons purely based upon price a myopic way of evaluating the respective products. For example it is absurd to compare Transmax which is produced in a CGMP facility in a clean room protected from oxygen and UV radiation and packed in Pfizer Vcaps and nitrogen-gas filled bottles with a product that consists of raw unprocessed and unencapsulated bulk powder dumped in a cheap generic bottle.

If a company cliams to produce in a CGMP facility, how can this be proven? If the C would stand for "Certified" this would be quite easy. But it stands for "Current", so what will it be tomorrow? Or how was the situation yesterday?
There seems to be a lot to prove with this claim. On the other hand I think this is a step the supplement industry should take, voluntary.

But, no modification will be done to the price at this time. The same reason we aren't putting something like "3rd party tested by lab or association for accuracy" on the products... or if a manufacturer uses Pfizer vcaps, or if they have child proof caps, kosher, etc.
It is a price list only... a great starting point for anyone looking for resveratrol.

However, I still think it would be good to add some quality notion into the pricing overview. But I guess it would raise to much controversy at this moment. Like I said before, it would be a very good thing if the supplement industry would opt for a voluntary quality certification. That would be THE way to avoid controversy and unnecessary discussions after the product is being marketed and sold.

Of course we will be price matching as much as possible, like we have done for Rodentman earlier. I believe James is price matching as well...
This brings up another question... who else do you guys know that do price matching? And do they price match on resveratrol, or a brand? I think most price matching is done on a brand based on SKU or UPC.

I see you have still not posted Biotivia on your list. Given that we guarantee to beat the price for the equivalent product from any supplier it would seem that Biotivia is actually the best price product, by definition.

Mega is not even a capsule. How could a product such as this be considered comparable to the other products on your list?

James, check out their main page on megaresveratrol.com. I quote:
Mega Resveratrol-99%
Yields 99% pure resveratrol extract, the highest potency available. Of that 99%, 100% is trans-resveratrol, the preferred form over cis-resveratrol. A 500mg capsule/serving delivers 495mg of bioactive trans-resveratrol. Available in 500mg tablets and in powder form.
Highest Potency Available! Lowest Emodin! Most Economical! High Potency, Low Emodin! Capsules (MR99T) Powder (MR99P) Capsules (MR98T) Powder (MR98P) Capsules (MR50T) Powder (MR50P) Powders
There are a lot of mentions of capsules there, plus pictures on the site. While it is great that you guys are willing to match and beat competitors, the price list can only reflect the listed prices on the sites of those who sell Resveratrol.
I have also seen Biotivia on the list.

So far these 3 companies do price matching on rsv and not on brand or SKU (please correct me if I am wrong James):
Biotivia
Megaresveratrol
RevGenetics
What does this do for the consumer? They can check other things regarding these companies, and not rely on price alone...
Thanks

Hi Anthony,
I noticed that the Mega products are all listed with 0's in the Trans column. It says "Trans" on their web site and also on the COA's that they have posted there.
Thanks for putting together the price sheet!

"NLT Trans-Resveratrol" rather than "NLT Resveratrol" as I have seen certs with this difference in the past.
I also have not seen a label for their product. If you have a link to the label that states "trans-resveratrol" I will definitely correct the price sheet.
thanks

This is a reply to numerous articles you posted on various boards, and a chart posted on your site, which includes false information about our company.
"Supplements Facts" are posted on our site and clearly state the amount of Trans-Resveratrol.
http://www.megaresve...om/capsule.html
http://www.megaresve...com/powder.html
Although Our products are as advertised, and our certifications are sufficient as-is, future Lab Certifications will include the wording "Trans-Resveratrol".
Our posting of Lab Certifications are not required by law, and are done on a voluntarily bases. Have you posted Lab Certification on your site before rushing to "put down" the competitors?
Publishing false information could make you liable for monetary damages.
PLEASE REMOVE OUR COMPANY FROM YOUR CHART LIST OR CORRECT THE INFORMATION!
Doron,
Mega Resveratrol

I thought we we friends. I have even asked people to go to your site in my posts. I suppose things have changed now. If things get back on track between you and I then please let me know if you want to do some business regarding powder and lab testing. As for the questions about the chart...
I haven't seen a label of your product, but if it contains the same supplemental facts that are printed on the site, I have no problem changing the list.
For now, I will take your items off of the list until we can clear it up. I presume you mean the excel sheet when you say 'chart' as I don't have any other list I have put you on.
Let me know when I can see the label, or check out the COA with the new wording.
thanks

You are off the list. At one point, you were completely taking the lead in low prices on the list. I think competition is great for all of us, so let me know if you want to be back on the list.
I think it helps everyone here out if you were back on, so just email a label or something.
thanks
