Cocoa is a mild stimulant and euphoric, and apparently has a number promising health benefits. Also, there is some evidence that it is increases the amount of bio-available nitric oxide which is critical for vasodilation and hence engorgement of erectile tissue (ahem.) Maybe this is relevant:

Here's another that suggests that maca works by a similar mechanism (i.e. increased nitric oxide):

Stay away from chocolate (at least as a supplement) as it contains too much sugar and is heavily processed (i.e. it has been through an alkalization process which removes most of the good phytochems.) There is another thread on this board that has a discussion on cocoa sources, etc.

And no I would never have her take Yohimbine isn't it a MAOI?
Yohimbine is an alpha-2 antagonist. I really don't know why everyone is so afraid of it. I wouldn't take it chronically, but once in a while I don't see an issue with it.
Well, from what I've heard it causes breathing and heart problems and god knows what. It just seems more like a drug than a supplement.
That's become more of a matter of semantics for me over the past few years. Yohimbine certinaly shouldn't become part of one's stack, but have no fear!
Anyhow back on track, maca seems good I've looked it up and I'll probably be ordering some soon, it seems like it'll make good chocolate too. But then again how effective is Maca? Is there anything else good that should go with it? Chocalate is out of the picture as it's effects as an aphrodisiac seems more myth than fact
Maca is really good stuff. I take it everyday as part of my stack...no complains. I don't know if it gives me testosterone but it certainly has...sexual effects of a sort. I see it as a more light-weight compared to any of the other endocrinal affecting botanicals, which is something I don't want to mess up. http://www.therootofthematter.ca/ is a reliable, high quality and cheap source from the west coast.
