There are model studies showing that serotonin increase life expectancy. However, the implication of serotonin's appetite supressing properties is not immediately clear in life extension. Could the models be surviving longer because they eat less/use less resources? It seems overlooked.

There are model studies showing that serotonin increase life expectancy. However, the implication of serotonin's appetite supressing properties is not immediately clear in life extension. Could the models be surviving longer because they eat less/use less resources? It seems overlooked.
