9) My fasting glucose, which had been going upwards reached 160, a bad sign.

That is a very bad sign (like a full-blown diabetes sign) and that's why my pre-diabetic ass takes resveratrol (I've never "felt" it, or any of my other meds for that matter). Was 117 mg/dl at time of metabolic syndrome diagnosis some 3 years ago now. Has been stable at around 100mg/dl ever since treatment started. But I also take 1500mg of Metformin and eat a very low-GI diet so my numbers are confounded. Not that I care as long as they stay there.

IP6's chelation of iron is supposed to reverse insulin resistance and also tweak the pancreas.

Hadn't heard this. Thanks, I'm gonna look into it.

My doctor was not at all concerned about the 160. Cancer is a full time very high stress job. The stress can markedly raise blood sugar. Add to that I was on psychotropics which are known to raise blood sugar (and yes, cause diabetes). I got off the psychotropics. My doctor said it's very unlikely I was pre-diabetic or had metabolic syndrome. My blood pressure did go from normal to 190/110 a few months ago. My doctor put me on 160 mg. Diovan at bedtime and another if needed in the morning, as I was waking up from terrifying dreams in the morning with a very rapid pulse and pounding heart. He said I really didn't have high blood pressure, I was just stressed out. He was right. I'm about to stop the Diovan because I'm no longer freaking out over the prostate cancer. The prostate cancer is going quickly towards remission.

At least it is finding it's proper place. Good luck to you!
