First off I am only a second year undergrad at the U of Iowa as well as a new member. This is my first topic so bear with me if it it written poorly or if what I wish to be discussed has or already is being discussed in another forum. Anyway...

I am curious what everyone thinks of the work done by Cynthia Kenyon and others who have followed. I say this because I recently saw a lecture done by her at the University of Iowa on aging and she discussed the research done on the daf-2 and 16 genes and their proteins and how they affect the aging process in C. elegans. If anyone has any additional information or related topics please include them. If you are unfamiliar with her research please visit

May you all live long and well,
