I have yet to see somebody who looks as yo...

Logan's Photo Logan 23 Jul 2010

Just saw "Mr.Nobody". great movie for a "tool".

BTW - these kind of boots are of a good taste. maybe not in a beach, but who cares anyway these days..

The boots are fine, I might even where something like them. It's the beachwear and the beach along with those awful tattoos that got me thinking, "TOOL".

It shouldn't really be surprising for people who live longer to look younger. Centenarians, super centenarians and calorie restricted animals all look younger for their age because of slower aging. Maybe looking younger doesn't mean you will live longer, but can be used 'in my opinion' to assess whether or not 'CR' or anything else you're doing is slowing down aging. It's just one part of the whole thing. And if looking good for longer makes you happier, it might help live a little longer haha.

I believe i am one of the youngest that started CR (age 18, im 26 soon)

Perceived age as clinically useful biomarker of ageing: cohort study
http://www.bmj.com/c.../full/bmj.b5262

Conclusion Perceived age—which is widely used by clinicians as a general indication of a patient’s health—is a robust biomarker of ageing that predicts survival among those aged ≥70 and correlates with important functional and molecular ageing phenotypes.

That doesn't seem to be the case with my father. He had prostate cancer and high cholesterol a few months ago and he looks younger than his age (despite being overweight). At least that's what people tell him, they're shocked to find out he's almost 52, many of his co-workers assumed he was in his mid to late 30s and often times he's asked for his ID in order to see if he's telling the truth. I think genes do play a large role in how young a person looks.

Ralph. I don't think its a real movie though hmmm, ??? still funny xD anyway i think he looks extremely young. One of the more 'natural' young looking almost 50 year olds.

With celebrities you never know. They have money and can afford a bunch of cosmetic or spa treatments. Let's not forget they have professional make-up people and the lighting of a scene has a lot to do with how well someone looks. An example, Madonna looks great in her music videos (combination of make-up and perfect lighting), but see her in paparazzi or candid photos and things look quite different.

Dmitri... didn't you see him in the karate kid 1 - 3 he looked like a teenager when he was 28... thats natural.

both him and that guy 1 year apart in age.

maybe he just has good genes. but everything about him is 'YOUNG'.

I had no idea it was him, I don't know the actors of the 80s that well. Anyway, in his case he probably has good genes? So, It's like Rachel McAdams who convincingly played a 16 year old in Mean Girls despite being 26 or 28 (depending on the source you believe) at the time.

Yes, there are some cases where actors look younger than they truly are and it's conceivable that they have good genes as demonstrated with Ralph, but my point which I forgot to mention in the previous post is that we should not always rely on stars, most of the time many undergo procedures or treatments at spas (especially the women). Though I admit there are exceptions such as Ralph, Rachel and Alison Lohman, etc.

As for Paul Wesley, he looks more like a college student than a high school guy from the photos I have seen. It's the same with one of the guys from Glee (Mark Salling), he's almost 30 yet he's playing a teen. On the show he does look more like a teen but on red carpet photos he looks more his age, so I'm assuming the clothes, hairstyle, make-up and lighting are working in his favor for the show.

i observed the opposite.

You must be observing people who are just passing through or live there only a couple years.

Air pollution, constant stress, being continually bombarded with second hand smoke/surrounded by fast food. These are the reasons the average new yorker looks terrible in their 30s and up.

I am talking about people who grew up in New York.

Like I said make-up and lighting do wonders, look at this red carpet photo of Ralph from 2 years ago he doesn't look that young more like the typical 40 yr olds that take better care of themselves: http://www.imdb.com/...37216/nm0001494

In fact he's more from last year where he looks even older: http://www.wireimage...o&sfld=C&vwmd=e

I still think he looks alot better than the average 40 something in that picture. Besides everyone has oldish moments. I have seen 16 year olds who in some pictures can pass for 30. Depends on the moment the photo was captured and other variables.

No, but he looks in that picture in his early 30's. Also the camera flash can be pretty harsh for anyone. Plenty of people have bad pictures taken. Like most of my friends looks FAR better in real life than they do in photos. You don't ever see that =/ ??? Video captures the better person but again also depends on the lighting. It's still better because you can take everything into account rather than just the way he/she looks.

its simple, photos can make you look worse [and OLDER] than you do in real life. They show imperfections that people hardly notice in real life.

That's what I said that he looks like the typical 40 somethings that take good care of their health. However, the original poster is looking for people who look way younger than they truly are. Remember the OP said that he's seen people look 10 years younger but not much more than that. I would classify Ralph in that category.

With celebes videos are not that good because they always have good lighting in studios for interviews to make the stars look better; they also apply make-up (even on the men).

Oh and it's possible for photos to make some appear older but the difference isn't much I think it's an exaggeration to claim that a photo can make people appear 15-20 years older.

He does look alot better and younger than most people close to 50. Where do you live where most almost 50 year olds aren't wrinkled, greying or overweight? Even the video matt posted showed people commenting on how he looks 20 years younger than his age.

I don't really see wrinkles per se just contours and lines formed by smiling. Alot of people in their late 20s and early 30s have thin, contoured faces.

had a funny experience yesterday. Some people were asking my mother if I was the youngest son hahaha. Some thought that my sister was older than me (my sister didn't like that :p), and she looks young! They thought I was like 15-16 years old ! I was getting comments from family and friends that I didn't see for upto 5 years. A few days before that I had a couple people talking to me (neighbours) and they thought i might have just left high school (but i said i was working beforehand) until i said i left almost 10 years ago.

Did you not read what I said? I said he looks like the typical 40 year olds that take GOOD CARE OF THEIR HEALTH (not like the average). I have also posted photos of him from 2008 and 2009 in which he looks much older than his videos. Therefore, I believe his appearance has a lot more to do with make-up and good lighting, unless he also underwent spa treatments considering he looks younger in the new videos than he does in the older photos (red carpet photos). My main point is that celebes should not be used in discussion since we all know they have tricks to make people look younger on TV and on magazine photos. It's basically all smoke and mirrors with them.

There are exceptions though when you see them in candid photos, but then you have to question if they had surgery. Take a look at Helen Mirren in this candid photo at age 63;

Posted Image

There aren't much 63 year olds with a body like that, but she claims she barely exercises. So, that brings into question of whether she's lying or if she's had work done since I don't think any one at her age can have that body without exercise or surgery.
