Damn you are one picky dude, no offense... True protein has the protein you are looking for. To make the shipping worth your while, just buy a big batch. Or get some friends to order with you an have them pay the shipping costs. You can customise your mix anyway you like.

I live in Canada and use truesupplements.com They ship to the states but I have no idea what the rates are, but can give a huge thumbs up for the taste, quality and service from that place.

Hope this helps...

How low can you go? I ordered from MuscleFeast.com 31.99 for 5 lbs. If you order more than $50, you get free shipping:

http://www.musclefea...Isolate-p5.html

It's a great, pure undenatured isolate -- much better than anything I've found in stores. Even my kids like it!

I ordered this, have been taking it about 2 weeks now. Lost a little muscle since I went over to this product from designer whey. It was in fact cheap for this 5 pound (supposedly) 100% whey protein isolate. I hope it is a genuine product though and not a fake filled with maltodextrin or some other filler. That would piss me off considering my current low carb lifestyle. I workout hard and I don't want my efforts stunted by potentially fake products, considering I only get about 100 grams of dietary protein daily, I take an additional 75 grams in the form of this stuff, some days an additional 100 grams. So it better be real! Have you notice any losses of mass since you started taking it? What is your other protein intake like? I rely on whey protein for proper assimilation with my work out regimen.

Well, I haven't been using it for gaining muscle mass, but for overall health/nutrition so I haven't seen any losses there. As a product, it's one of the best I've tried -- only whey isolate, not with the "other ingredients" that you'd find in Designer Whey (18gm/scoop DW vs. 26gm/scoop from MF) or other products.

Note: I specifically didn't want something that had lots of other "stuff" in it. You may look at the nutrient profile of something else and think you're getting a lot more. Okay if that's what you want, but to me, yuck. For the quality/taste/price, I think you're going to be challenged to find something better. The guy who runs Muscle Feast gets his product direct from a dairy in Wisconsin (his son is a bodybuilder and that's why he started the company). I called him up and spoke to him -- it's good stuff.

I also am into a low-carb lifestyle and am very careful about sources/what I eat. Aside from my shake (26gm) in the a.m., I take in an additional 50-75gm of protein throughout the day. So while my requirements are different from yours, you're still getting good protein nutrition. How much weight/bulk have you lost? Maybe look at what the other causes might be...

I haven't changed anything else in my diet and in fact upped my protein intake when I began taking this stuff. I am not sure, it could be that my body has been adapting to a new product with slightly different amino acid profile but I am just not sure. I might try now foods whey isolate next to see if that does any differently for me. Or I might just buck up and order from trueprotein.com and get bulk, despite their shipping costs. I guess i'll see.

For people living in the EU, the best place to buy whey protein is MyProtein.com. The more you buy (up to 20kg) the cheaper price you get.

concentrate:
http://www.myprotein...ct_whey_protein

CFM-isolate:
http://www.myprotein...ct_whey_isolate

Use discount code MP257475 and you get a 5% discount from your first order. :)

Not bad. The only thing I do not like about it is sucralose. I react badly to it, have to urinate more frequently etc. But it has glutamine added, which is a positive.

Hey, I found a few retailers on ebay that sell 15 pounds of whey for like 40$, free shipping.

It's concentrate but fuck, it's still whey and that's a damn good buy. A little whey protein concentrate never killed anybody.

And this stuff has like a 80% absorption rate. So it's still worth it for that price to product ratio.

After the recent protein powder scandal one cannot even trust product labeling. I'd stay away from cheap/unknown products.

smartpowders are selective scammers, highly recommend avoiding them, and doing a forum search before buying from them.

quoted the wrong post, not sure how to select hte right one, but avoid smartpowders.

I buy mine from a local creamery/cheese house. They started selling unflavored whey protein a couple years ago. It is about 50% cheaper when I buy it from them (compared to Syntha/Muscle Milk/GNC brands).

The incredible bulking hulks at the bodybuilding forums say this stuff is as legit as anything with a retail label.

I think the expensive companies are not immune from scandal and in fact are more likely to be scandalous, those price gouging mother fuckers.

Link? And also, what's the pound per price ratio?

I've started using New Zealand WPI, Alacen 894. Comes from grass fed cows. Currently buying from these guys, it's the best protein I've ever tried.

I buy from Mullins Cheese: http://store.mullinswhey.com/ 2lbs of isolate is $24.00.

At GNC 2lbs of whey isolate retails for $55 and you can get it for $40 if you are a member.

GNC has always been and will always be, over priced.

Per pound not a good deal at all. Overpriced.

Met-rx Protein Plus 2lb protein powder (around $25) from local vitaminshoppe in most big cities

is an excellent protein powder based on the work of Dr. Scott Connely many years

ago who sold his company Met-rx to the new owners.

It is a combination of casein and whey that is quite good and anti-catabolic for many,

many hours.

I know the dairy farmers, I know the workers at the plant, I know it is a good product made in my neighborhood. That is worth something.

There is no reason why high quality concentrate whey proteins should cost more than about 10 bucks/kg.

If it's a community thing I can kind of get behind that.

Unfortunately a lot of people will spend money for the much much cheaper option.
