My week end desk help, a 20 year old woman named Liz, read all four of the novels (even though she says she doesn't normally read books!), and then she had to tell me all about them. More than I cared to know, in other words.

She also had plans to see the "New Moon" film last night, so I'll probably have to listen to her talk about the movie for the next two days as well.

I don't understand the appeal of a 100 year old teen-looking vampire who still goes to high school.

I actually do find vampires sexy (yeah, yeah go ahead and laugh). However, it completely ruins it for me if this happens:

Girlfriend: Will you make me immortal so I won't have to watch myself decay from the inside out until I die of cancer, heart disease, or Alzheimers?

Vampire: No, you don't know what it's like to be immortal. It's so horrible to live without the looming threat of death hanging over you.

Girlfriend: Actually, that would make me much happier.

Vampire: You're just a woman human. You don't know what's best for you. I love you too much to let you make your own decisions.

Girlfriend spends an indeterminate amount of time wishing she could spend eternity with this man who obviously has no respect for her. Eventually, circumstances force him to bite her anyway although he never actually admits he was wrong to deny her in the first place. They get married live happily ever after (literally).
