Joe,

You have different things going on with your post:

1- There is 50% resveratrol , 98%-99% Resveratrol, 98%-99% Micronized Resveratrol, some emulsified some not, many with COA's and Many without COA's. Eventually I predict many brands produce COA's to show their high quality, that is the reason I do not talk about a particular brand. Here is my sales pitch, find a brand of Resveratrol that fits your needs and price range with a United States Laboratory COA, that can be verified (COA's typically show the name, address and phone number of the lab at the top).

2- I will take my sales man hat off, and let you know that If you start naming brands while asking for dosage help... I will simply assume you are selling something and will be instantly turned off by your posts. The fact is that there are decent resveratrol products out there from companies that provide verifiable COA's (from 2010), it is up to you to exercise your understanding of the industry and it's faults, so that you can be confident in your decision to choose a company and it's products. Why take my brand recommendation over others when you can do this exercise without help?

3- If you simply cannot wait, want someone to yell out a brand to buy, or do not want to do a bit of digging, maybe this forum is not for you. (I am putting my sales hat back on now...) The fact is that the best customers I have, are those that spent time doing this exercise.

4- What benefits do you seek from resveratrol? I believe that many benefits resveratrol provides are dose dependent, so you need to be clear about what you want before asking the "what do you recommend" question. If you are only looking to inhibit platelet aggregation, then consider red wine or cups of whole grapes as inhibition of platelet aggregation appears to be one of the few items that resveratrol does, that doesn't seem to be dose dependent. Other benefits, appear to require much more resveratrol than what is found in red wine. So what do you why are you considering resveratrol? What benefit are you aiming for?

Is the benefit that you are looking for simply to lose 15 - 20 lbs?
Maybe this study may help you consider your trial dose to see if it affects you in the same manner as a rodent:

Will it work? It appeared to work for the rodents. I suppose you would need to have others chime in to see if it is feasible it may work in humans.

Really Anthony?,

Do you really think that I would just want to take resveratrol everyday to only lose weight? You must know the reason why I started pursuing knowledge about resveratrol. Most people I am sure were interested in finding out where they could get their hands on it because of the 60 Minutes telecast that implied that resveratrol (because of various non-human experiments) had a chance to "extend" human life by duplicating calorie restriction. Not only simply just "extending" life, but also providing "quality" in this life extension. Also, there were also experiments that led researchers to believe that resveratrol is also a good chelator, can prevent many cancers, can increase endurance and energy, can lower blood pressure, can lower blood sugar, is an excellent ant-oxidant, can increase libido, can balance hormone levels, can help you maintain a more ideal body weight, and more. Also, please do not confuse me with those people who try to take mega doses one gram and beyond because either they have a disease they think resveratrol can cure by taking mega doses or they are "thrill seeking" to see if they can become some type of "super hero".

As far as brands go. I am not trying to promote any brand or get you to do so. I am simply looking for the best product at the best price just like most everybody else. I also had a feeling that you were going to hit me up with the 50%, 75%, 85.5%, 91.2468%, 98%, etc... Anthony, why would I or anyone else for that matter NOT want as close to 100% resveratrol as possible? Would you want less that 100% Ibuprofen if you were trying to get rid of your headache? Of course not! And, of course, I would be looking for a brand (whomever has the lower price without sacrificing quality) that has the most current COA. I will say that I find that 250 nitro to be interesting. But you do not have to mention the brand you would choose for me in open forum. Instead you can PM me.

There you have it Anthony, I am looking for all of the maintenance type benefits that resveratrol has to offer. I am also hoping that resveratrol can help us look younger as well as give us an inner functional body of someone in their 20's or at least early 30's. If you have to include other supplements please do. However, again, I do not wish to take many supplements that do the same things where it would actually save me money without losing any health benefits by not taking those.

I hope this time I got my intended point across?

Thanks Again.

I think you might have better luck looking for advice in the in the Regimens forum, as your questions concern more than just resveratrol. One size does not it all. Most of us have come to our current practices through research and experimentation, and genetic diversity ensures that what works for one may not work for another.
