Longecity has done a lot of great things over the years, but few if any of them have been as big and important as the three research projects funded to date. The 3rd Longecity research fundraiser is currently still underway.
They may be small in the scheme of things but they are still big steps, especially for a small but growing organization of our current size. Then also every step or stride to the goal takes us a little bit closer.

Not only are these projects important, but they are also some of the few projects that we provide as a service to our members and supporters that give them a noticeably substantial, impactful way to get involved.
Imagine being able to take part in a civil rights march in the 60s, or one of the historic women’s rights conventions around the turn of the 20th century.

This chance is like that. If you want to be a part of this then a $1 donation goes a long way. As Pamela Oliver and Gerald Marwell wrote about social movements,
“Finally, the opposite holds in some technologies: in mass actions such as marches, petition-signing, or voting, each person can make only the same small contribution, and what matters is how many have contributed. One person marching for 1,000 hours is not the same as 1,000 people marching for one hour.”
We definitely appreciate our large dollar donations, but I personally wouldn’t mind at all if we raised the entire $8,000 with 8,000 $1 contributions.
So thank you to all who continue to make projects like this possible. Remember that we are almost there, just a few thousand to go, and that ever dollar you donate is matched by Longecity. Get your donation in today to be a part of this while this excellent opportunity still presents itself.
