Sulbutiamine

noema's Photo noema 19 Feb 2014

Just took 230mg

Fairly immediate onset I'd say. Get that frontal-lobe pressure. Nothing wildly noticeable yet. I'm looking to take this for groggy mental fog from low / bad sleep.

Will update as I notice anything. Only things I've had today: two eggs, spinach, cheese, ham, two coffees, 3g fish oil.

Cheers!

+30min: jaw tightness like any stimulant, slight elevation of body temp, feel that "electric" feeling in my arms, definitely hitting those major "stimulant" effects (note --> also enjoying some ripe pu'er tea)

+45min: slight onset of "asthma-like" symptoms strangely, uncommon given most stimulants help with inflammation. feeling almost overstimulated. have that "coffee fog" effect happening. eyes are a bit dulled but i feel like im racing. very warm (probably combo of caffeine + hot liquid)

+60min: intense buzz, very active mind, time is passing quickly, decisions are coming fast. i am able to more quickly switch between tasks and immediately focus on what's at hand. probably placeboish effects.

+70min: very focused, blurrying eyes because im staring at my computer screen so much (i realize), intensity of jaw issue has subsided, feeling very warm, light is a bit brighter.

+90min: i feel good, mostly just focused and relaxed now. slight hunger reduction probably mostly from caffeine. i think i've consumed too much caffeine for the effects to be easily distinguished.

Overall I'm pleased with this chemical. I believe it would be useful for folks who never take B-Complex and want to diminish brainfog after a long previous day/night.

I would probably not take this chemical daily as it doesn't seem to have any beneficial cumulative effects. Am I wrong?
