I don't see the point of Vitamin C when it just takes up so much space in the caps and can be brought dirt cheap at my local supermarket. At best, use it as a filler if required.

Agreed. Though I wouldn't mind it if it wasn't a significant price increase (it shouldn't be) and didn't mean we have to leave something else out/take more capsules at a time.

Also read/speak out here about the rationale behind Vimmortal 1.0. People have already suggested taking out a few items altogether, but then it would seem to me that we no longer have a multi-vitamin in the traditional sense. Which might be ok for a small group of Longecity members, however, if we want to have any potential sales outside of Longecity (which would be GREAT) then we would probably want to include at least small amounts of all the essential vitamins/minerals/nutrients.

I voted yes. I'd just put 100mg or so in it, just enough to allow it to be listed, and to make sure no one can die from not getting it from any other source, which is extremely unlikely anyway. If a person eats a paleo diet, they simple don't need it. If they eat a vegetarian diet, then they need it, but they're getting it from plant sources so they're covered anyway. I haven't taken C individually in years -- except last week I started taking 1000mg daily for hopeful anti-glycation benefits. The only time C is needed is if a person is eating a high-carb diet that doesn't contain this vitamin, like when sailors ate tons of hard bread on their voyages.

150mg or so would be good.

A formula that has vitamin C should also have flavonoids because they are natural chelators. At least some anyways. There is a fairly large amount of scientific data about ascorbic acid and its ability to degrade elastin and hyaluronan.

Thanks for the comments on vitamin C! It is such a common nutrient in multis and has such a long safety record that not too many people think about it. I am glad to see the Longecity community bring up some thoughts about C.
