So glad I stumbled upon this forum and all the info you've provided re nootropics.

I am a nootropic newbie and have been taking the following (all in capsule form) for about 3 weeks now:

1 x 500mg Pramiracetam twice daily
1 x 500mg Choline Bitartrate twice daily
1 x 250mg Ginko Biloba once daily
1 x 100mg L-Theanine twice daily

I have now ordered the following and plan to stack this to my existing regimen:

1 x 500mg Bacopa Monnieri once daily
1 x 500mg Lion's Mane twice daily

However, for the past 2 months or so I have been taking a general brain nutrient supplement (Neurozan) purchased from a local Health Food shop which contains the following:

120mg Ginkgo Biloba Extract
20mg 5-HTP
40mg L-Argenine
10mg Glutamine
5mg L-Glutathione
10mg Co-Q10
10mg Phosphatidycholine
10mg Phosphatidylseine
2mg Natural Mixed Carotenoids
--------------------------
541mg Omega 3
Various Minerals & Multi Vitamins

Could anyone please advise me if

a) Is the nootropic stack appropriate to improve verbal fluency/vocabulary recall
b) Will any of the substances within the Neurozan supplement have any negative side effects due to possible interactions with my stack?

Thanks. :)

I think it is appropriate.

Also add ALCAR it's great, and Fish Oil - Omega 3 DHA and EPA.

Neurozan is kinda expensive.

And its Omega 3 is not that high on DHA or EPA.

Your nootropic stack looks pretty solid. Neurozan is basically ginkgo with a miniscule amount of other ingredients (just to pad the ingredient list).

I second ALCAR, it is a fantastic nootropic and synergizes very well with Racetams.

What have your results been thus far?

Thank you very much for your advice, it's very much appreciated!

This is my first ever stack which I've been on for almost a month now.

I decided to go down this path due to an incident that happened a couple of years back that slightly affected my verbal fluency (not noticeable to anyone else, but noticeable to me).

Although it's been almost a month since I commenced my regimen, I've noticed a mild improvement.

Will certainly keep you updated on my progress and thank you very much for the ALCAR recommendation, which I subsequently ordered last night.

I have decided that I will cease taking Neurozan once I've finished the course, as it seems a bit pointless in view of the minuscule quantities involved, which I'll replace with a higher dose of Omega 3 (DHA and DPA).

My only niggle is that my Bacopa Monnieri only comes in 500mg capsules hence my only taking it once daily in the morning, although you're meant to take it at least twice a day.

Do you think that taking 500mg in the morning and another 500mg late afternoon would be too much Bacopa?

Thank you once again for your advice on this fascinating topic! :)

I don't think that is too much bacopa as long as it doesn't make you too sedated. Some people can only take it at night for that reason.
