Well whey protein from grass fed cows that was properly created (aka not in a high heat process as a byproduct of making cheese) seems to have some health benefits for glutathione and the immune system in general. The one I get from iherb also contains 40mg of calcium per 10g of protein and since I avoid cheese/milk I tend to find it's a good source of calcium at the same time

The whole point to grass fed cows is to increase the omega-3.. which is a fat.

Just how would feeding cows grass influence the whey (a protein) ?

I am wondering about that too. Also, which whey powder would that be?

The Daily Mail is a better journal than Science or Nature because it has more pictures of boobs and butts. That said, the paper that they sensationalize in the article linked above was talking about BCAA's. I would not expect whey to have the same effect.

My whey powder claims to have 4g of BCAA per 23g serving, so it should have some effect at least...

It does not have to be from grass fed cows for those effects.

I drink about 200g worth of whey protein isolate a day. Will this make me live to 130? ;)

Not necessarily. Some of the other amino acids in the whey might be bad for you, for example methionine.

It might make you live to 60. Too much protein is bad for longevity.

The one I get is http://www.iherb.com...z-453-59-g/8180

I'm mostly interested in the fact that it's not made at high temperatures which might affect the protein and make it more harmful for the body (less natural, more inflammatory). As for grass fed, the cow obviously is healthier during it's life so it may/may not affect the end product but either way I really like this whey protein since it naturally contains other benefits (calcium & potassium)

For some research on some of the benefits of whey protein, check out the resource lower down on this page http://www.bulletpro...upgraded-whey/. I would love to buy that whey protein but it's too expensive for me currently (and that's without the shipping).

We often talk here about how methionine could be bad for longevity. But whey has a high methionine content. Does this mean that the benefits of whey outweigh its methionine content, of that methionine is not that bad after all?

A common misconception is that protein causes aging which is not true. When you eat grass-fed beef, you are getting a well-rounded energy source. While avoiding diabetes and heart disease from grains, protein will provide a slow burning fuel that allows for longevity via calorie restriction. I personally eat my protein with oil for the synergistic antinflammatory benefits.
