I've been trying to find a protein powder that's low in methionine. So far it seems like pea protein powder is best provided it isn't mixed with rice protein.

The one I'm looking to buy has the following amino acid profile:

Would this be an acceptable alternative to other protein powders on the market?

Interestingly enough is that this particular brand's chocolate/cocoa flavour is sweetened with stevia, so it seems pretty win-win if it checks out.

Upon more reading it appears some are saying these protein powders are bad quite simply BECAUSE they are lacking in things like Methionine, and thus have a poor amino acid profile.

I consume a lot of gelatin and just enough meat to end up getting adequate amounts of all the essential aminos including methionine. You could do the same with pea protein.
