I have previously ordered Piracetam, choline bitartrate, and Oxiracetam from CH. I was quite satisfied with the site and the service.

It was about 2 or 3 months ago, and the Oxi and Choline came in within 5 days. The Piracetam was back-ordered but still came in within two weeks. I am also in the US and quite close to their location, so I don't know if that contributed to the experience.

However, I do not have the knowledge or tools to test for purities. The only thing I can say is that the substances are as white as they could possibly be, and they all taste how I have heard they are supposed to taste.

I just want to know, before I buy more from them, if any real concerns have been raised about the purity of the substances. So far, I have not seen any reputable members of this site complain, but I just want to be sure; i don't want heavy metal poisoning.

I've never had third party testing done of their supplements so couldn't tell you if purity is an issue. There's always a risk with any brand or company you are ordering bulk products from. Unfortunately, regardless of company reputation, that risk doesn't really go away unless there is strict company policy in place to third party test all bulk orders.

The FDA audit and pass of recent from CH should be pretty comforting though. It's kind of amazing to me actually that he wasn't shut down entirely (not because his practices were necessarily bad, just because the FDA is fuckin' crazy).

While we're on the topic though, I think something overlooked most of the time is the residual solvent content of supplement powders. Heavy metals might not be present in a material, but chloroform, acetone, ether all can be. Solvents aren't usually tested for either in HPLC or NMR spectroscopy. I'm guessing companies usually opt for a simple heavy metal panel (I'm assuming that at least, not based on fact that I know of).

I joined here coz I was going to post asking about this company.
I was just wondering if there was actually any evidence that this is true.
So far in my research I have seen that they have had 2 complaints from FDA over the years and recently the owner who posts on these forums said that "they have passed the test" but did not provide any proof whatsoever.

Has anyone found an approval letter from the FDA, or could the owner show it here?

Our FDA auditor said that it could take up to six months to see the new letter. Unfortunately, when a company has no violations, they move to the back of the line for the paperwork to be processed (companies in violation are issued warning letters fairly quickly, however). And yes we did receive warning letters in the past, but we have made the necessary corrections to meet the new FDA compliance standards.

Sounds good. I will wait for the FDA paper I guess. Or maybe I'll just give in, not like the other companies are being held to high standards lol
