just curious, but what software for creating music does everyone prefer?

I am looking for something intuitive that I could hopefully jump right into. I have worked with ableton a little and just downloaded reaper but it seems like there is a very large learning curve, it could take a while to get it down.

Try Reason. It's designed to be user-friendly; you can flip the display to the back of the rack mount and actually physically wire things together etc. Kinda silly but fun and relatively easy to get into.

I use Ableton as my DAW.
Fav synths: Access Virus and sometimes Reaktor
Processing Plugs: Sonnox and Fabfilter

Generally the top DAW's are: Ableton, Logic and FL. Learn anyone of these well and making music becomes much faster and much more fun.
