Thought some of that sounded familiar, so what excatly is a "nanocapsule". A quick google on it shows structures not much unlike our precious 'bucky balls', of course a tad larger as they have to carry a payload, but not really that much.

Thoughts? Way off base?

These nanocapsules are made of a polymer- so they are little plastic bubbles with two enzymes inside. These are WAY bigger than c60. The only thing that has regularly been put inside of c60 is a single metal atom. There just isn't very much room in there.

For some reason, Patrick Flanagan's silica hydride products came to mind - with the silica cages being about 5 nm in diameter, and negative hydrogen ions inside. Again, it has nothing to do with C60, but shows yet another substance being encapsulated at the nanometer level.

Interestingly sperm which is applied to diamond coated Petri dish survives longer than those which are on water soluble polymer coated Petri dishes because of oxidants. Perhaps polymer balloons are like C60, layers of carbon atoms seem to be very effective at promoting cell growth.
