For what it's worth...
I use an
OMRON scale to track my fat% and muscle%. It might not be perfect but it's pretty darned good.
I'm 43 years old and I lift weights 5 days per week. I run a landscaping company so I'm generally active and I eat almost no processed food. I don't consume dairy but I do eat meat, eggs and especially fish. Each day I eat 2 large piles of raw vegetables to stay full. This helps a ton.
My bodyfat hovers between 12% and 13%. My muscle mass is usually just north of 42%.
I don't look like a P.O.W. and compared to the average office worker I've got a respectable amount of muscle.
My base calories are 1800 per day on days I don't lift weights or work extensively in the field. On days that I have a lot of physical work to do I increase my calories accordingly.
I know CR works because my blood pressure went from 135/80 to 106/72 the last time I was checked. It definitely does something.
