Longecity has a lot of expertise in biology, chemistry, and nootropics.

Let's work on writing about a certain subject, amassing our insight, expertise, and research skills to write a scientific review on a topic of the community's choosing.

Then, we'll submit the paper for scientific review and scrutiny, and hopefully get the review published in a respected journal.

Why should we do this?

1. It will help longecity gain exposure.

2. It will also be massively beneficial to the community if we can effectively synthesize reviews on a given topic, helping shape scientific thought and inquiry in a direction that will be beneficial to our cause.

3. Crowdsourcing for problems has a history of success. Foldit is one example. The guy who crowdsourced geodata for his goldmine is another. Tim Gowers is another example.

4. We could break up the paper into individual components, allowing volunteers to contribute to each component as necessary. This means we could create reviews far faster than an individual working alone, thereby speeding up scientific progress.

We could literally write a review on anything we choose, ranging from aging, nootropics, or other drugs.

Please let me know what you think.
E.

Thanks Elus
it was a fairly long process to finally get this up and running for student volunteers for SENS but with some results.

If people want to use LongeCity to plan that's fine of course. There will soon be a trial of a 'groups' feature that may be particularly suitable for these projects.

HOWEVER -like any project, each paper needs a project leader who will commit to it.
Once such an individual credibly steps forward we we can hook people up with an academic mentor/co-author.
There may even be some small prize money if people pick a relevant topic and get it published.
