Allithiamine, like sulbutiamine, is a thiamin that crosses the blood-brain barrier. It's a naturally occurring substance in garlic. Sulbutiamine is unavailable from anyone but shady (imo) bulk suppliers, whereas allithiamine is at least sold by Ecological Formulas in a 50mg capsule: http://www.iherb.com...-Capsules/25831

I did a search on these forums and came up with little but a few mentions of this chemical. If sulbutiamine won't be touched by common supplement makers with a 10-foot pole, why is sulbutiamine commonly used and not allithiamine?

i tried it once for about a month 50-100 mg day but didn't notice anything special. my motive behind that was that i remember reading somewhere that thiamine has an important role in gaba production in the brain. So i thought it would have anxiolytic properties well like i said it didn't turn out to have such effects.

I take it pre workout with arginine, tyrosine, and alcar. Provides a nice synergy and I can use lower doses of the others and still feel a dopamine like effect.

What dose? Do you know if it has dose equivalence to sulbutiamine?
