After spending a lot of time on longecity and after a week of experimentation, i think i may have found my stack. I'm a nootropic noob and i hope someone here would be kind enough to comment on this stack.

About me:
Im soft/mild bipolar 2 and have some distractability which interferes with my studying.
I have mild generalized anxiety too.

Please Please feel free to suggest changes as i dont think i have much idea about what i am doing, except for what i've been reading in forums.

My stack

Thrice daily (6AM, 12PM, 6PM)
  • Piracetam 800mg
  • Gingko biloba 60mg
  • Pyritinol Dihydrochloride Monohydrate 100mg
  • ALCAR 500mg

Twice daily
  • CDP choline 250mg(with morning and evening Piracetam)
  • Aswagandha 250mg (Afternoon and night)
  • Coffee

Once daily:
  • Modafinil 50mg (morning)
  • Omega fatty acid tablet (omega 3/6/9- 824/180/450mg respectively)
  • 1g of a supplement [920mg L-Glutamine and 80mg lysophosphatidyl choline enriched Lecithin] (morning)
  • Alpha GPC 250mg(with afternoon Piracetam)
  • [Alpha lipoic acid 100mg and vitamin B12 1000mcg] combination tablet. (evening)
  • Multivitamin tablet (night)
  • Half of a tablet of HealthAid Cal/Mag/Zinc which contains Ca-1050mg, Mg-525mg, Zinc15mg (night)

ALCAR seems to work awesome for me. I cant find the right piracetam dose or choline ratio for me and fogging occurs sometimes.

I hope someone would give me advice.

Exams in 1.5 months time.

Probably too much choline and too little piracetam and omega 3. I would recommend you try each supplement by itself and figure out what dosage works for you and then add one item at a time to the stack, at least the piracetam, ginkgo, pyrintol, ashwagandha, modafinil and choline sources.

Thanks a lot for your reply.

Sounds like an awesome suggestion. But with exams soon, i should get it on, asap! :)

But thanks. I shall try modifying the choline and piracetam, and maybe take an additional tab of fatty acids.

Thanks

Which racetam would you suggest i add to this if im looking for factual memory, recall, and logical thinking.

I'm thinking on lines of one among

Pramiracetam?>noopept?>Aniracetam?>Oxiracetam?

What works for me (toward those specific goals) is Piracetam, 1800mg split between morning and afternoon, and then 300mg of Pramiracetam added in as needed. On a regular work-a-day, I wouldn't bother with Pramiracetam, but then on the weekend or if there is a big project to sort out I would add some in. In any case, the two seem to work well together, and they don't break the bank, which matters.

On choline, the need for that may vary with diet or physiology, but I've never seemed to need it as a supplement. The indicator is supposed to be headaches, or ineffectiveness of the stack, but I haven't had a headache problem with the racetams, and adding choline never seemed to make any noticeable difference.

On Ashwagandha, I do notice that it has a mild negative effect - working against factual memory, recall and logical thinking. It is minor, but in me it seems to act as a relaxant, negating some of my normal focus and motivation for effort. That's not all bad, and it does have good points, but I am currently rotating it a week on, a week off, to take a look at its overall effects. (At 750mg/day during weeks "on".) Possibly its a very individual thing.

Sorry i was away. Had posted this originally in a wrong forum and had got banned of posting privileges.

thanks a lot for your suggestions guys.

@meth_use : thanks for your suggestion. Increasing dosage did do the trick, i think. But i also had to increase my choline dose to avoid fogs. That did cause some depression or maybe there is some confounding factor which im not aware of. :)

@alan.r : Im waiting for my pramiracetam. Hope it gets here soon.
Actually i had my doubts about ashwagandha too affecting my memory and motivation. my gf said that it did make my stubbles sharper :) and i noticed that my man boobs have lost some fat :) I did quit for a few days, but got incredibly stressed and thought of using it again. I'm curious about your experiment. What did you conclude about ashwagandha?

Ok i was about to [start a new thread]/[PM a lot of people], and then i realised that was probably bad etiquette. (I might have reached puberty in this site) :)

The following had happened today:

I went crazy retarded on Noopept. Like i couldn't even read a complete sentence!!

This is the timeline:

-11 pm Took a normal dose(usually i take 1/2) of calcium/Mg/Zinc yesterday night
-11:30 pm Slept
-5 am Woke up feeling incredibly awake and awesome despite around 5 hours sleep
Took Modafinil 100mg
Took Piracetam 800mg + CDP CHoline 250mg + Vitamins
Studied pretty ok till 11 am
-11:30 am Cup of strong coffee
-12 pm Mail arrives -> Noopept and Oxiracetam (had ordered Pramiracetam actually, supplier misplaced it with Oxi)
- 2pm Took a small scoop (around 10mg) an hour after lunch.

BAM!

-Went full retard in 30 minutes
-Couldnt read even a sentence with focus. Severe confusion. Increased feeling of pressure in head(not a proper headache).
- Within two hours i felt like i suddenly dropped to an IQ of 80.
-Walked around like a retarded Charlie Bartlett and feeling so damn frustrated at all the wasted time with me not being able to do anything about it.
- 4pm Took 500mg CDP Choline
-4:30pm Mild decrease in pressure/Placebo?
-9pm Still cant concentrate, mild head pressure
-9:30pm Sleep with Ca/Mg/Zn.

So What could be wrong? So many people had been swearing by this drug, that i thought i had to give this a try.

I have generalised anxiety issues and a mild bipolar 2 tendency.

I cant decide for sure what among the following caused this:
  • a)Modafinil + Caffeine + baseline anxiety -->> increased anxiety (But the piracetam and magnesium had helped me with this and i had felt normal til i took noopept)
  • b)Decreased Choline?
  • c)Stablemind had suggested, bipolar people should avoid all racetams other than Pramiracetam. Should we reconsider Noopept too?
  • d)Decreased Sleep the previous day

I cant even find my piracetam choline ratio. Serves me right for jumping to Noopept.

Bolts and locks nootropic cupboard :excl:

Have you tried Noopept by itself?

I find that Noopept by itself is quite mood stablizing, in fact I have found that it is very easy to take too much choline with it.

Thanks for your replies, guys.

No, today was my first day with noopept.

Is it necessary to take as much choline with noopept and other racetams, as we take with Piracetam?

Everyone is different, but sometimes just a few eggs will do, at least for me.
