At the beginning of this year i posted a thread about some serious problems i developed(now one and a half year ago)after using MTZ for blastocystis hominis. Since then there's not much/any progress and I'm looking into using testosterone gel(My doctor subscribed it for me about 4 months ago, since he found my testosterone levels low, but i wanted to try the other options first/seperate.). There are two things i am respectively curious and concerned about:
  • Is it a likely explanation that the MTZ caused my testes to function less optimal? I find quite some research on this topic, however it is mentioning higher amounts per kg then i have used and for a longer duration. (i used 500mg 3 times a day for 7 days with and without meals) Links:

  • My second question is regarding the safety/side effects of the testosteron gel. Will it have a negative impact on my reproductiveness even if my testosteron is considered low? (hard to find information about people using it instead of abusing) If so, would other hormones like LH or hCG be a better fit for me?
Hormone levels:

testosteron 22 ng/l 60-135
dihydrotestosteron 60 ng.l 22-123
