New C60 Mouse Study to start

They received more $ that needed, so they will add a C60 (in oil, I presume!) test group.

This is good. We've been needing a placebo-controlled trial of c60-oo for a long time. I hope that they aren't combining it with any other agents, which would hopelessly confound the results.

Definitely agreed. And it would be great to see if they could show any synergistic effects/interactions with the other somewhat proven pharmacological mediations. I'm impatient for results.

Ultimately, it would be interesting to look for synergies, but first we need to know if c60-oo does something on its own. All the other compounds that they're looking at have already been trialed independently. We have one small placebo controlled study of c60-oo that has never been formally replicated. If c60-oo was a marginal intervention like some of the other compounds in this project, I wouldn't be so adamant about it, particularly since most of the compounds being looked at are not things that I'd like to take due to their various and sometimes-serious side effects. C60-oo, on the other hand, has no negative side effects that I'm aware of. It's also cheap and easy to obtain, unlike, say, rapamycin.

I am not shure what type of C60 they plan to use. It could be HyFn because this ideas widely spread in scientific enviroment here.

Somewhere on their site they mentioned that someone had sent them some c60-oo, and AgeVivo is involved in the project, so I'm assuming it's going to be the olive oil version. It would be great if they could test both, but if they can only do one, I'd rather see it be c60-oo.

niner, I sent them an email also offering to donate the needed C60 and oil (I'm associated with www.BuckyLabs.com), but did not receive a response. The Russians do seem to have an affinity for the HYFn version.

Found response about c60 at comments:

We contacted Fathi Moussa in regard to the follow up experiments on the C60 lifespan extension discovery. We will keep you informed about it.

P.S. As I understand lab is based on Kiev Gerontology Institute, so its not related to Russia, we are Ukrainians here ))
