Hey Longecity,
This is my first post, so I'd like to first say hi to the community.
Anyways, I've recently got my hands on Piracetam and Alpha-GPC, as a choline supplement was recommended, and have been trying various dosages.
Initially I took 2,400mg Piracetam with 300mg Alpha-GPC in the morning then the same dosage of both in the afternoon. I immediately felt a subtle increase in concentration and sharpness. I was delighted to know that it was working for me, but after my 3rd day I went into a state of pseudo-depression and was irritable. I attributed it to Alpha-GPC. I stopped both Piracetam and Alpha-GPC for a couple days, then re-started dosing on Piracetam. This time I took 4,800mg twice a day with no Alpha-GPC for 3-4 days. I never felt that increase in concentration or sharpness, and noticed that I was needing more sleep than normal (I was tired all day). I didn't experience the brain fog or headaches that a lot of people seem to claim when they are choline deficient, however. I attributed this to a lack of choline nonetheless so I supplemented with 150mg Alpha-GPC twice a day. I still never received the benefits that I did when I first initially dosed. I've now dropped my Piracetam dosage to 2,400mg twice a day and 300mg Alpha-GPC once in the morning for a couple days. I still don't feel the benefits that I did.
The depression was caused by a surplus of choline and the tiredness was caused by a lack of choline. I'm no longer depressed or tired, but I'm also not reaping any of the benefits that Piracetam initially offered.
I'm wondering what I can do to experience the benefits that I initially felt upon initial dosing. Should I perhaps cut off both Alpha-GPC and Piracetam for a few days and restart my regime with 2,400mg Piracetam twice a day and 300mg Alpha-GPC once in the morning? Did I build a quick tolerance to the more overt effects of Piracetam and am not consciously aware of the subtle effects of Piracetam? Perhaps the initial effects were only due to a high dosage of Alpha-GPC?
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Also, a little background info on myself, I am a 19 year old male, 165lbs. I exercise regularly, eat healthily, sleep healthily, and am quite satisfied with my current intelligence.
Thank you.
