http://healthwyze.or...he-reality.html

I came across this as I was looking for a good source of Chlorella. I remember Mike Adams from a long long time ago where he refused to be paid to endorse products. This gave him a sense of morality and credibility unlike Mercola. I then, over the years forgot all about him.

Looking for a good clean Chlorella I came across his website and his now store! He then goes through that his Chlorella is the cleanest and how he tested Chlorella from all the major producing companies. He goes on to say that the one from Taiwan is the cleanest and least contaminated. However reading the above link I noticed a really disturbing character and that he has business interests in Taiwan! So now I have no idea if what he said about Taiwanese Chlorella is true. I dont have to buy HIS Chlorella, otherwise just any made in Taiwan will do.

I used to like this guy. He seemed to be a crusader on health and had morals and was only interested in 'the truth'.  Now I see a man more corrupt than the FDA, more greedy then Mercola and more a liar than Pinocchio.

This is a guy defensive of parents starving their baby to death on their exclusive mothers only milk diet for 11 months (because they were vegans), advocates meat eaters should eat cow brains for DHA (perhaps in attempt to kill us from all from Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease), using fear mongering to get everyone in the world in a rush to pointlessly take ridiculous doses of iodine after the Fukishima distaster and as I discovered recently after 'liking' his facebook page, is VERY anti vaccination and none of his articles had a shred of scientific research or analysis. I don't care much for the mercury in vaccines either but apparantly the mercury we are supposed to worry about is called 'Methyl-mercury' (the ones found in contaminated seafood etc). The one in vaccines is 'Ethyl-mercury'. So it's not the same. Those are just to name a few of the reasons I think this guy is actually dangerous.

In his defense here I would say that annual influenza immunisations are over the top for young strong healthy people, but immunisations that last a life time like Rubella and Whooping cough etc are beneficial. If I go overseas where this is a substantial rish of Hepatitus, getting protected is a decent calculated risk.

I don't know what is 'right' but whenever I look at an argument, I always try to look at both sides and be objective. I never come into anything already have picked a side. This way I can make an informed opinion. This guy seems to be a real nutcase now who left the concept of Truth a long time ago.

In his DEFENSE however, the website on Chlorella, I believe the author has it totally wrong

The biggest problem with these algae is that they are typically contaminated with toxins and heavy metals. The National Institutes of Health warns that contaminated algae products cause liver damage, and even certified algae is potentially contaminated. This is because algae can only be accurately tested whenever the testing laboratory already knows what contaminants to test for. It is impossible to test for random unexpected contaminants, and that is what is found in sea water.

Algae such as chlorella and spirulina are not grown in sea water but shallow man made fresh water ponds. IF Mike Adams contaminent testing is to be believed, then the heavy metal impurities found in Chlorella are still a lot less then found in regular foods in our diet.

What is the general feeling of this guy on these forums? That website has some very damning allegations on him. I think this place is the only place I can trust in the field of health and nutrition that really is interested in truth, science, is non biased, not greedy, not corrupt and having no financial incentives for giving advice.

I read his website.  I value some of the things he does.  Other things I take with a grain of salt.  He's a voice against many things I oppose, and he seems to be effective.  I wouldn't rush to judgement.

Many years ago I thought he was a champion. Even if I didn't agree with everything he said I at least believed that he believed it. This was a man that had ethics and integrity and he despised people like the very man he is today.

It's not hard to find people who hate the FDA, Big Pharma and love organic natural foods. It's hard to find people who can generate quite the audience he did. The problem is, now he just looks like a nutcase quack which in turn (because of the large audience) actually puts people off the cause and only promotes the agenda of the FDA and Big Pharma because of how ridiculous people like him (and incidentally his followers) look.

He has no interest in science and no idea about medicine and every article I read shows just how clueless and embarrassing it is to have him on 'our side'

Still, If I need some quick info to show someone on what I already know is truth (for example, the benefits of Vitamin D or K2 etc), rather than bombard someone with reading pages of forums or boring them with the science, pages like his and Mercolas are easy to read. I do tell them never to buy anything from them and beware of the fear mongering.
