I am an actuary, philosopher, life-extension advocate, and composer. (In transhumanist and life-extensionist circles, I am most known for my illustrated children’s book Death is Wrong, but I also engage in many other transhumanist pursuits.)

My compositional style has significant Classical and Baroque influences, but I also welcome the use of advanced technology to develop melodies, some of which might be unplayable by human beings and yet sound harmonious to the ear. Since 2007, all of my compositions have been created entirely on a computer, rendering my manner of composition essentially transhumanist.

A video playlist of many of my compositions can be found at https://www.youtube....F72A112E60413FE.

A full listing of freely downloadable MP3 files can be found at http://rationalargum..._stolyarov.html.

Several of my works explicitly address themes of technological progress and transhumanism:

0-to-60 Waltz (Waltz #9), Op. 74 (2013) - A great example of a piece unplayable by a human but illustrating the musical possibilities in the transhuman era.
