I see that there is a more economical product (compared to TA 65) that delivers the needed Cycloastragenol and Astragaloside IV.

Hopefully, more of us will be able to benefit from Cycloastragenol and Astragaloside IV now.

Here is the product:

Swanson Rejuv
Cyclocell Telomere Formula
Item# SWRJ004 • 90 Veg Caps
Swanson $99.99

Here is what it says at the Swanson page for this product:

Product Description:

Cyclocell Telomere Formula

Introducing a new, state-of-the-art supplement based on the latest in longevity research! New Swanson Rejuv Cyclocell Telomere Formula with Cycloastragenol and Astragaloside IV addresses what may be the root cause of aging at the cellular level.

Telomeres are short strands of DNA that cap the end of chromosomes within every cell. They protect the structure of the chromosome and serve as signaling agents for cellular activity. Each time a cell divides the telomere caps get shorter—a process known as telomere shortening. When the telomere caps become too short and cells continue to divide, the original cells die off in a process called cellular senescence. For decades, this process was thought to be inevitable and irreversible, until Nobel Prize-winning research uncovered "how chromosomes are protected by telomeres and the enzyme telomerase.”

Scientists have been looking for ways to activate or promote telomerase activity in an effort to protect cellular health and thus, promote longevity. The traditional Chinese herb astragalus is one of the few natural agents with demonstrated ability to activate telomerase. Advanced research has identified two key compounds—Cycloastragenol and Astragaloside IV—as the active components responsible for this action. Swanson Rejuv Cyclocell Telomere Formula combines these two powerful plant compounds in one capsule, creating the most affordable telomere support formula in America.

You’ll find other astragalus-based supplements on the market at prices up to $600 for a one-month supply, but none with this precise combination of both bioactive constituents at effective dosages for daily supplementation. Dr. Joel Baumgartner’s Cyclocell Telomere Formula is the ultimate supplement for dietary support for cellular longevity.

I'm also interested in the quality of their products. I'm willing to make a $300 test order of various products and then have the products analyzed if nobody has done this yet.

I hope people are asking these guys to supply documentation. It's probably synthetic.  They sell some synthetic 99% in southern cali for $55 a gram why buy 50% for 40?  Badmonkey Botanicals' product is certified organic and compatible with people who have the worst food allergies(Multiple chemical sensitivities etc).  Our COA includes a true HPLC readout.

It's not what they say, it's what they DON'T say.  If they don't specifically say it comes from a natural or organic source, it's synthetic.

For example:

"Cycloastragenol comes from Astragalus" does not equate to "This Cycloastragenol is natural and comes from Astragalus"

Is there a real demand for 50%?  BMB would start carrying Certified Organic 50%.  We were under the impression that the demand is for the highly purified cyclo because the impurities may be harmful.  If you want the "good" impurities go for 98% cyclo mixed with a 20% a4 extract 50/50 for bioavailability.

CounterAgingWise on Amazon has the micronized version 25mgX30 (750mg) $139.99. No idea if it's synthetic but the purity is listed as 99.5%

content before any revisionist history kicks in:

MIAMI, Fla., May 15, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - RevGenetics, the world's leading source of specialized small molecule supplements can't wait to share exciting new information proving that the active ingredient in the TA-65 supplement is Cycloastragenol.

"We're gratified by the UK Government for publicly providing the TA Sciences new ingredient application that shows what we here at RevGenetics have been stating about the TA-65 active ingredient." said Anthony Loera, RevGenetics president and longevity advocate of RevGenetics. "We believe the information and studies that TA Sciences provides within the new ingredient application show how important this single ingredient is. We hope that sharing this information worldwide will allow more products to come into the market for the benefit of us all."

RevGenetics shares findings about TA-65 public information:
In the past RevGenetics provided internal testing of products that had the potential to help people. Many Doctors, health professionals and important RevGenetics customers have appreciated that RevGenetics has gone above and beyond what a typical supplement company will do.

While RevGenetics has previously provided 3rd party independent testing showing that the active ingredient found in TA-65 was Cycloastragenol, the new information provides much more.

The new document made public by the UK government provides the public the studies which show among other things, that the active ingredient in TA-65 is Cycloastragenol. The document also provides information on other existing Cycloastragenol products being sold, suggested dosages and many summaries of positive Cycloastragenol studies.

How did Telomerase Activation Sciences, Inc. provide information on TA-65?
In the first quarter of 2014, studies that TA Sciences relied upon regarding the active ingredient in TA-65 -- Cycloastragenol -- were made publicly available on the Internet.

The information was provided to the UK Government which made it available to the public, as part of the application that would allow TA Science to import the ingredient called Cycloastragenol into the United Kingdom. The public was allowed to view the application and comment on the new ingredient as part of the application process.

The public document is available worldwide from the UK government website:

"At the moment, we honestly believe Cycloastragenol will become an important ingredient to look for in the near future along with micronized resveratrol." said Anthony Loera, RevGenetics president. "For now, we hope the information we are sharing provides people and manufacturers around the world, a leg up regarding the possible benefits of Cycloastragenol which is found in various products on the internet."
