reliably synthesizing strands of nitrogenous bases precisely is one of the cornerstones of synthetic biology. With many of the tools becoming widely accessible already, such as open source pcr, etc,  this remains one area which needs to be tackled. Anyone out there interested in collaborating on such a project?
