For the last couple of years I have been experiencing a rapid drop in body temperature after using certain supplements.  Some of the culprits are lipoic acid, vitamin B2, Iosol-iodine, Green coffee extract, citicoline with the worst offenders being Carnitine-tartrate and selenium.  Even eating Brazil nuts will send me into a shivering frenzy.

It's really annoying because it keeps me from enjoying the positive effects some of these have.

I initially thought it was a thyroid issue but low doses of iodine (250 mcg) as potassium iodide don't ameliorate it and higher doses (1800 mcg) as Iosol actually make it worse.  In addition to this, they also have the tendency to make me feel sleepy and drowsy, when they're suppose to energize me.

Any ideas are welcome.  I entertained some mechanisms like thyroid suppression, vasoconstriction or a cholinergic effect via the parasympathetic nervous system or maybe my body is just F*****.
