I had heard of bwgen before but your post finally made me go and download it. I am using it right now as I am writing this. By the way, the website does not mention if one can listen to the sounds from a headphone while at the same time engaging in other activites but I assume it is OK (especially if the module has only sound but no visuals)

Thanks for the help

you gotta make sure you have headphones and speakers that will actually produce the frequencies that the program produces... most wont. there should be a list on the website somewhere

Sub7

I'm another 'energetic' one and just started posting here.
As a very healthy and well-trained lifetime INSOMNIAC...I learned to use my excessive energies in different ways. It doesn't seem you have insomnia, but most well-behaved insom's, for ex. don't wast time in bed when we are not 'sleepy'.
And to say,'well, you'll eventually get sleepy if you stay in bed, and you won't if you don't' ...is pure hoax.

ANyway...
Okay, so I usually have an overload of energy. But mine is not a jittery, hyper, hand shaking like I have palsey, or have downed a gallon of coffee -I am not a coffe drinker...gag
I just go days on end feeling like I can just continue with just about anything that I normally do. (but no, I do not have a "I can conquer the world" disposition)
I feel good, healthy, and on solid ground. But I want a break and Want to have some semblance of a circadian cycle!
(and I believe I have finally achieved this with my 'stack')

So, for you, for ex. do you exercise? Are you healthy or morbidly obese? You have told of your problem, but you should elaborate a little more on your lifestyle? perhaps?
I am not trying to ass-u-me, but if you are a couch-toad and eat bon-bons and drink coffee around the clock, then ...well point made. Or if you are just a nervous nilly over the world's current state...ex...
(Okay, I am being extreme, but u get the point!)

How about family history? Maybe you are biplor/manic...maybe and hopefullly not.
Could you please tell more about yourself? usually when someone on the outside can see the whole picture, then perhaps you can be helped :)

So far, it just seems you have an attention and focus problem. And on the positive side, perhaps you make more out of your problem perhaps than you really have. But we won't know this until you tell us more.
Thyroid perhaps???
Do you have any of the symptoms?
etc etc.

And Kava Kava....not so good IMHO....not long term. Sure, natives eat it 10 times a day, but unless you are of their bloodline, just be cautious, as with anything. It can also cause photosensitivity.
;)

Another fantastic source of supplement info is Avant Labs forum!!! TONS of scientific research material too.

Oilfieldpilot,
Thank you for your suggestions but those basics such as exercise, excessive bodyweight, caffeine intake etc have all been addressed. They are not the issue. I am simply looking for a chemical compound to relax the mind, that's all

Thanks

GOOD then!!!

Perhaps you just have an unruly and noisy chatterbox-mind then:)

How about Deprenyl? or the L-theanine/phenibut combo? May be worth a try!

Also, peruse and post in Avant Labs forum. There are very similar cases there: and you case pales in comp to most!

(scroll to bottom to change the black screen to a pale blue if it is hard on your eyes)

Best of luck to you,
I hope you can find some peace and quiet!

Bipolar, OFP,
Thanks a lot for your concerns. So far I have not been able to find anything. BTW, I have posted these issues on Avant a long time ago, I go there quite a bit. However, despite all the wel-intentioned suggestions this far, nothing...

I have tried almost everything suggested so far, but they do not have the desired effect. I guess, on top of all the other things going on with me, I am also pretty resistant to drugs naturally. I had a surgery to remove my wisdon teeth last week and was given Vicodin to use in case the pain becomes too much. The thing is a controlled substance and supposedly people get addicted to it. The bottle comes with half a dozen stickers warning you about how dazed you will be once you ingest it and only contains 10 pills to avoid getting you hooked up to it. Well, I take one when the pain peaks, and nothing, nada!!! I just naturally have few receptors for any compound that relaxes you I guess, or the symphatetic nervous system is so frikkin overactive that nohting to calm it down can work properly. To make things even more interesting, I have never used any strong chemical compounds ever. All I used over the years were Elavil, Ambien, Sonata and the like (and the nootropics/herbs I have tried for this purpose over the last year, but -since they failed to work- I haven't used any of them for more than 2-3 times). Never smoked pot, or used anything illegal, so chronic exposure and resulting receptor downregulation seems very unlikely.

I wish LifeMirage could chime in here. Let's see if he picks up this thread. Though I know he is very busy and won't be mad if he cannotl...

Finally, for those who would like more info about me before making suggestions: 35 yr old male, had insomnia for almost 20 years, in fairly good shape with very low bodyfat, regularly active and amateur competitor in sports. Blood tests are normal and thyroid is in the normal range, though I do not have the tests with me to tell you what exactly the readings were..

Thanks again to everyone

Thanks for the clarification!!
From your posts, I mistook you for a fifty-some yr old empty-nester and menopausal/hormonal woman!!!
Having such info can help...As I said in prev post above.

Changes the picture now!
""regularly active and amateur competitor in sports""
So, what's that mean, hoop with the guys during lunch and maybe a friday game of half court? or somthing more substantial, such as marathon running/swimming...etc
Or some other form of distance training/competing. (triathlon is good multi discipline) And I am not saying to go try and be a world champ, but just for yourself and well-being, self satisfaction, etc. B/c it sounds like you do have metabolic issues, but cannot adjust yourself to live with it...I am speaking from someone who has a very similar case.
Endurance training was My solution until my profession and worn out body brought it to just an hours run/day.

I also combined Silva Mind Control with my training/life goals. Now I've added hemisync.
I've learned to redirect the 'noise' into a productive benefit instead of an obnoxious misfit.
I think if you really wanted to, you can do the same.
Being a guy, you don't have the excuses women use!

OR, maybe you just need a girlfriend, change of job, or you are just bored with your life??? I know all of that also made a difference for me. (but, I got a husband instead of a gf).

good luck
