Has anyone found any supplement helpful in relieving restless leg syndrome?

Exercise. That worked for me. Also avoid excess sugar before going to sleep.

I'm already doing both with no improvement.

Have a prescription for pramipexole but worried about it possibly making things worse (augmentation).

Have you recently stopped taking any prescribed medications? Especially those that effect your dopamine.

What type of exercise and for how long? A short jog? Weight-lighting? Swimming?

Well, bloodwork just in shows that I have marked iron-deficiency anemia, so the cause is identified.

Thank you all for the suggestions.

Pramipexole helped but I weaned myself off so as not to become dependent on it.

Iron supplementation seems to have helped as well.

I still have some RLS some evenings and/or nights.  It is always concentrated in my left hamstring, possibly also related to some nerve impingement in my lower back (I have a history of radiculitis down the left leg).  I find that sticking an electrostim pad to it is very helpful (the kind you buy in drugstores) - it reduces the urge to move the leg by automatically contracting the hamstring for me so I don't have to.  I even go to bed with it on sometimes or stick it on if I wake up restless in the middle of the night, and usually fall asleep before it has completed its fifteen-minute cycle.  .
