Hey guys, I've been trying to research which nootropics are linked to acne breakouts, but there is little to no information on this out there. Now, I have sensitive skin and have ALWAYS had problems with acne since a teenager (presently 29) and while it does run in the family, I can sometimes get it under control. In addition to optimized brain health, I take nootropics to stay fit (aka sexy) and nootropic-based acne is absolutely KILLING my sex life right now. I have recently developed bad acne all over my chest and face. I have tried to isolate and stop taking certain nootropics I suspect to be the cause of my acne, but acne doesn't just go away as soon as you stop taking a certain nootropic. Mine takes weeks to heal, regardless of what cosmetics I use, and my nootropic regimine often varies from week to week based on my work.

Here are several nootropics I suspect to cause acne:
1. Noopept. It tends to make my skin very dry and irritable, but I take no less than 50mg as needed.
2. Tianeptine. I take between 12.5 to 60mg daily and cycle every three months. I suspect that my daily tianeptine use is causing me to breakout.
3. Adrifinil. This is the worst. Adrifinil makes me break out all over at any dose and I have stopped taking it specifically for this reason.

Has anyone else found that certain nootopics cause acne? How was the severity of your acne and at what doeses, over what period of time?
Hopefully we can get some good information out there for my fellow Longecity pizza faces.

Creatine always causes acne on me.
Rhodiola seems to reduces it.

Well, it finally happened... I got addicted to tianeptine and caught myself taking 100 mg daily for a while, causing large white hives all over my chest. I've since discontinued tianeptine, which is a shame considering how productive I was on it.

I also suspect that my L-Dopa may be the cause of some of my skin problems, which is also a shame because the libido lift it gives me is insane.
