Hello Fellow Life Extension Fans. I am a new member and I am so glad I found this forum to participate in discussions regarding Life Extension and LEV. I have a few questions for you guys as fellow Life extortionists and I would love to know what you guys think. If you can please answer the questions to the best of your ability. I have been optimistic of Life extension and possibly making it but I have some doubts which have caused some depression. Maybe there are things I dont know that may bring up my optimism even more and I would really like to hear what you all have to say. Here are my questions. ;)

1. Although Aubrey De grey says we have a 80 percent chance or (60 percent worst case scenario) of reaching LEV at the time of his AMA in 2014 which I was 22 years old now 24 as of 2016, I have a fear that despite taking care of my good health and becoming vegan, avoiding alcohol, smoking, and doing crazy risky things like many of you, although anyone really under 30 have enough life force in us to make it there, I fear that I would get ill with something incurable before I even become old enough to need life extension technology with some sort of chronic condition, neurological disease or cancer. If I so happen to get in middle age when most of these cures are available due to technology, it would be less of a problem but I fear something will happen before than and this effects people of any age in this current year due to lack cures for these illnesses. What are your thoughts on this and can you relate?

2. Although our chances are high to make it to LEV I do fear there is a chance that it may be more than a couple decades off, and in that case even if the treatments become available in time for us that those treatments may only be effective on a younger population. For example if for some reason Aubrey if off on the timeline by 20 or more years, and if we happen to be in our 70s or even 80s but the treatments available only work up to age 60.

3. I get very jealous of younger people mainly those 10 years younger or more. Mainly because Although I think we have a good chance of making it to LEV before 60 years old, that small chance that it may be delayed can be a big difference in effectiveness. Younger people especially those 10 years or more have wiggle room in terms of buying time barring any freak illness or accident if somehow LEV is off by some time. Those younger than us by 20 years pretty much have a guarantee of LEV barring any illness, freak accident, war, or natural disaster. Due to this, I get very depressed and annoyed being around those over 10 years than me, mainly because I know they have a nearly 100 percent chance of LEV and we may not or if we do there is a chance treatments may only work for those younger than us meaning if they are under 60 years old when the treatments come out, and we are in our 70s or 80s, it wont work for us. What are your thought on the jealousy factors of young people? Age can be a big factor in terms of LEV even if its only by a decade or so. On the flipside I feel really bad for those 40 years or older today even though they have a shot of making LEV, their chances are much smaller and like I said before by the time treatments become available it may only work for those 60 or younger and by then they may be too old to benefit from the technology in its early stages.

4. Finally, it terms of cryogenics, in its current form it has a very low chance on success rate, but its better than nothing. The bright side is that even if we happen to be to old or not make it to LEV young enough, in the unfortunate event we may not benefit from the anti aging tech at the time, Cryonics in the future when we are considered old will be very more advanced than it is today, I just hope that it will be affordable, and plentiful enough for an aging population in the future. Whats you thought on future cryogenics if we dont make LEV?
