Any updates on Uncaria Tomentosa being one of the strongest neuroprotective supplements? Dosage and brand? Thanks

Seems like Salvia officinalis is on par with Uncaria for being one of the most neuroprotective supplements out.

Are you sure? I thought that it was Salvia miltiorhiza the one with potent neuroprotective effects.

It seems like all species have benefits. Miltiorhiza (DanShen) seems more cardio protective and officinals more cognitive

Here is a good read on each of the strains.

Also I came across this article the other day but didn’t have time to read it. Shows the neuroprotective benefits of several herbs.

Nice read.

Sage tea has been traditionally used for the treatment of digestive and circulation disturbances, bronchitis, cough, asthma, angina, mouth and throat inflammations, depression, excessive sweating, skin diseases, and many other diseases.[5,6,7] Salvia essential oils have been used in the treatment of a wide range of diseases like those of the nervous system, heart and blood circulation, respiratory system, digestive system, and metabolic and endocrine diseases. In addition, sage essential oil has been shown to have carminative, antispasmodic, antiseptic, and astringent properties.[8,9]

I have taken Sage tea very frequently, but I have never felt a thing from it. It is very common here.

If you come across any good sage supplements other than DanShen, so other salvia strains, let me know. I’d like to supplement with all strains as they all seem beneficial. Thanks
