I've used tadalafil for many years to help with erections. For the first few years I had no side effects at all. I used it on demand at first, then adopted daily dosing of 5mg which worked great.

Then I had some time off it (no gf at that time). When I restarted I experienced about a week of very uncomfortable muscle aches, starting in my arms then moving down to my thighs. After the first week the aches went away. Over a couple of years of going on and off tadalafil, I noticed this repeated aching process, despite using different manufacturers' products (all generic - eg Cipla, Cooper Pharma etc.)

Myalgia is a known side effect of the drug. I did some digging around but didn't find an adequate explanation of the aetiology. I did notice that myalgia from statins (which I have never taken BTW) can be counteracted by CoQ10, so I tried supplementing that but didn't notice any reduction in soreness.

Can anyone suggest a supplement that might help? Even better, explain why I was fine with tadalafil for several years then suddenly started getting myalgia! Could I have become deficient in something through daily use?

I know there are other PDE5 inhibitors, but I like the long half life of tadalafil.
