Does anyone have any experience or literature on supplementing l-valine alone without the other supporting BCAAs?

This study shows that l-valine is likely what's responsible for the lowering of serotonin effect obtained from BCAAs. I'm only interested in lowering excess serotonin without lowering dopamine much and without increasing glutamate which leucie/isoleucine can cause. Any adverse effects I should be on the lookout for?

I started taking it yesterday and so far can't put my finger on the effects, can't tell if positive or negative.
